Shurmur and Heckert fired (ESPN)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why does everyone think Kelly is incapable of adapting or installing a new offense?

That doesn't sound like Browns fans...

But no, please no Mike Vick.

I want to watch winning football more than I want to hate Michael Vick. If he comes here and helps us win games, I'll live with it. Maybe with an offensive line that doesn't let him get hit every play he'd actually be a good quarterback again.

The mascot situation could get awkward though.

Social engineering. And hell yea I want to watch winning football. Everyone does.....until you start to think about a human drowning a dog.

Don't think about a human drowning a dog. He has paid his penance (only in reality). If you don't want to support him, don't support him.

After saying all of that, I still have high doubts he comes here just for that reason. I think it would turn off a large fan base - although, that fan base may be out the door anyway (old age, better distractions, priorities, etc).

I'd root for anyone in a Browns jersey if I thought they'd help us win. I just dot see Vick being that guy. He's a turnover machine that talks about changing and being more cautious with the ball, but continues to turn it over. Hes now got concussion issues, and didn't play full seasons before that.

An interesting comparison....

Age most of 2013 season:

Vick - 33
Weeden - 30

Well, as I said, a lot of his turnover issues seem related to his offensive line, which at this point couldn't stop a peewee football team. Our offensive line, while not elite, is solid.

Regardless, I think we can all agree that, even with the turnovers, Vick is better than Weeden or McCoy, and probably anyone in this draft. I hate myself for talking myself into this, but if we get Kelly, it just seems like a natural move.

I don't know much about Kelly or his offense (I'm not a huge college watcher anymore).

Can someone give a few details on why Kelly and Vick would make sense?

Vick, TRich/Hardesty and the current Browns offensive line could absolutely be successful.

Plus it's not often that a potentially elite quarterback is on the market and available for a team like the Browns to sign.
