Our front office hasn't been bad about identifying talent but has been bad about giving those players time to develop. If we keep giving up on players, we will run out of assets. As much as we want a 15 man roster full of playoff ready players, we need the back end of the roster to grow player to replace or at least be trade chips for when we need them.
We gave up on Danny Green, Joe Harris, and Dwight Powell too easily. I don't think Joe Harris or Powell would be playoff rotation players but they could be good trade chips. Adding aging vets to take the place of young players hasn't helped us. With the two way contracts it's less likely we let Felder go and give the roster spot to a young player. Letting Felder go will just be to give another over the hill vet a roster spot.
Let's give him more than a year and garbage time to develop. He has his faults but we need trade assets. He might never see our playoff rotation but he might get us a player that does. We wont have to choose to let guys like TJ Williams or Andrew White go this year, two way contracts were made for these guys.
