 -- Unfortunate for Mark. He seems to really love/care about the game, but for whatever reason, he can't hit consistently. I feel that he does have some sort of mental block and therefore attempts to swing his way out of slumps. He was actually an early favorite of mine. I believed that he would come out of this. I guess not.

Why do we DFA a fielder, and recall a pitcher? Giambi, Gomes, Aviles, Raburn. Four reserves?

because we need an extra arm right now for the bullpen after last night. Im sure a bat will be called up after the game or sometime this weekend. a trade for a bat is also possible.

Wow never really thought they would do that. I thought once Kluber went down any chance of Reynolds being DFA'd was gone. Interesting.

Have to think we are adding another bat once our bullpen recovers. No way we only roll with Gomes, Raburn, and Aviles. Especially since Giambi can't play the field.

This is a baffling move unless they can add another bat through the waiver wire.

As bad as Reynolds was, the other options on the 40 are more worthless. It was worth trying to fix Reynolds while playing him a couple times a week, what he provides when he's right is much greater than what the other guys can give you.

Not sure who might be available in a trade, but they'll need to find someone to take that roster spot eventually.

Gotta hope the Tribe has another move(s) in the works

Objectively, Reynolds stats are very worthy of a DFA. Almost have to wonder if the guy had some personal issues come up. I mean we all knew he wasn't as good as he was in April but he became completely worthless.

I hope a trade is in the works. Though he might get a few more hits, bringing up Cord Phelps seems somewhat pointless.

Salazar won't be going much more over 80. And the only reason his pitch count will be increased to 80 is cause it's with the big club.

Also, with Jimenez being pushed back to Friday, he will not be the long man Wednesday. It wouldn't surprise me to see them get rid of a bat (Reynolds?) for Wednesday's game, in order to not be down a bullpen arm.

And you all thought I was crazy! :king:

I would've been perfect on it as far as who left for Salazar too, if Kluber hadn't gotten hurt:

With Reynolds gone, I'm guessing that means a lot more Santana at 1st or DH with Gomes behind the plate. I know nobody has suggested such a move yet, but it might just be crazy enough to work.

It still won't help anything. Plus, another bat will be here. No way can or will they go the rest of the season with just the hitters they have now.

I knew Bauer would suck. Called it immediately after the trade, much like when I nailed Derek Lowe's general suckitude and how many starts he'd make.

These are not the types of articles I want to see. Although Law is notorious for underselling Indians prospects if I recall. Hard to argue with him in this case, though.

I never liked Santana playing 1st. Reynolds was pretty spot on when playing 1st. Didn't too much like him at 3rd. No doubt that Gomes is a better catcher vs Santana.

I'd like to see less Asdrubal at SS and more of Aviles.

Can he pitch?

Yes.
