The Brian Hoyer thread...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So maybe Brian shouldn't have created a controversy in the media this week?

If the receiver dropped Hoyer passes, they would likely drop Manziel's passes as well. I saw four bad balls from Hoyer, one being the pass to Cameron in the end zone. He was off at times. I also saw the worst game the offensive line played all year and embarrassing wide receiver play. Miles Austin won't get credited for a drop when he failed to find the ball on that slant, but if he turns his head its a touchdown. Ugly offense today, but the only people who suggested Manziel at the Browns Backers bar were the women folk. There's a reason for that.

Positive spin?

Signing Hoyer to an extension most likely just got cheaper after today.

so it was the receivers fault The browns had 24 incompletions.

This is the first time the run game has been shut down and the the passing game was called for a disproportionate amount of plays.

Hoyers limitations were on full display.. When the run game is on Browns have a chance to win. when its not.. look rather unlikely

If your QB needs great line play to beat the Jags, he isn't the long term answer. Hoyer was bad. Didn't see an open Benji for a TD early. Next play, he overshoots a wide open Cameron. He's been high and behind receivers at a very high rate this year. Completion % becoming a big concern.

I'm not ready to bench him, but he has to show a lot more to warrant a big extension. Today, he looked like a career back up that had been getting fat behind a good O line and running game. Make him beat you with his arm and he wilted.

Needless to say, these next couple of games are huge for his career. Needs to prove this game a fluke against bad competition.

I don't think Manziel should have played today. I just don't think Hoyer is that good.

Hoyer is a g/f you like but don't Love.

Manziel is a crazy hot girl you know.

Do you dump the g/f to go out with the crazy girl? Not if your smart. But, you don't marry the g/f either and you keep looking for a better girl to marry.

We have a good girl for now, but we need someone that is marriage material. Nothing on this team is worth proposing to.

Good comparison if the girl was someone you only saw a picture of and heard a few things about but hadnt actually spent any time with her

I actually enjoy your crazy posts typically, but this comment makes it seem like you have never been with a girl. :icon omfg:

I stick with Women. some of us cant buy our way out of potential legal issues

I'm not a huge Hoyer fan but he's somewhere in between crazy comeback Brian and crazy bad Brian.Ideally Manziel won't need to take snaps this year, at least not meaningful ones.

Given the Browns personnel, I'd continue to let Hoyer start and see where we are at years end. If the FO is undecided, hand the keys to JF with an even better roster and a year of the offense under his belt.

Tell me if I'm doing it right, Lee...

Can't it be both? Hoyer threw a lot of bad balls, but the receivers sucked too. It took everyone working together to shit the bed today.
