The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two words Sarah Palin.

Yeah, because Wally and Pavs will see tons of time behind Roy/Fernandez/Webster/Batum

Well not a good idea then fine lol, but i would still love to get our hands on Outlaw.

On a side note, i see some people keep mentioning how we should acquire Webster. I believe he has yet to play this season.

I think Portland would come off of Webster or Outlaw. What they really want is a good veteran point-guard. If Eric wasn't injured, he'd be starting for them, because we'd already have made a deal.

Personally, I like Webster a tad bit more (very slim margin)... but would take either in a flash.

Does anybody think Charlotte might take this:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2172~796~1026&teams=30~30~5&te=&cash=

Cavs Get:
Gerald Wallace

Bobcats Get:
Sasha Pavlovic
Eric Snow

They get a cheap young talent in Pavlovic and an expiring in Snow, getting rid of a long contract with Wallace, when they are trying to sell the team. Pavlovic actually compliments Adam Morrison/Jason Richardson very well, because he can play defense at their positions, freeing them both to shoot. Gilbert will have to be ok with eating the $12 million with Snow's deal ($14 million - $2 million for the smaller salaries in this deal), but the Cavs are one of the few teams making money right now, so he might be willing.

We can also throw in a 2nd round pick (Chicago), which might end up even more valuable than the first round pick, especially for a team looking to sell, that might not want another guaranteed contract. I don't see Charlotte getting a deal too much better than this, especially with Wallace's injury history, and longish contract (the cavs are better equipped than most teams to deal with his injuries, because we have LBJ at SF, and thus won't be suddenly missing a major piece if Wallace goes down)

This also potentially saves Szczerbiak if we want to ship him off for another big man (AK47, Brad Miller, etc)...which is where we could get the big to complete this deal.

All while only giving up money (not a ton of starting talent), which Gilbert might be willing to part with to pick up the rings.

Wait did you really just say Eric Snow would be starting for them if he wasn't injured

He isnt really injured he is just old and seems injured. Once you say that Snow would be starting i think it is smart to say

No. Charlotte's motivation for moving Wallace is to get a Big-Man..not to dump salary. They like Wallace, but they've had to play him at the 4, which was the reason he got his concussions. Omeka is a true 4, and they want a center so they can move Omeka to his natural position, where he'll be more effective.

It is apparent to me that you know nothing of basketball. This will be my last response to you, as you're obviously just a kid.

I know nothing about baskeball. You just said Eric Snow would start for Portland. I don't think Eric Snow would start for the Oklahoma city Thunder.

The old Snow would have but his skills are long gona. When is the last time Snow started for us and the game against the wizards after the mega trade for ben, wally, wes doesn't count

Portland has blake, bayless, sergio who would all start over him.

i really would like ferry to trade wally for kaman...we would have a long-term big who is somewhat young and can somewhat replace Z...good FT shooter, good rebounder and solid scorer....i just like the idea of having kaman...also we may still have wally since he may want to come back here and if not we have sasha to back lebron

That would be very nice but then I think we would need more wing player then cause I'm not sold on Sasha

Rickey Davis anyone? :chuckles:

not really we have enough...we have mo,west, boobie, sasha (average),Z(lol),lebron(yea he likes to shoot) and even av can shoot...wow thats half our team

all we need sasha to come in for is like 5-6 mins in the 2nd and 4th...lebron plays the whole 1rd and 3th and comes in with like 7-6 mins left in the 2nd and 4th...he at times may play the whole half!!

I didnt really mean pure shooter. Just another guard who can contribute. What if sasha falls off again and we are left with Boobie, MO, West. That isn' a bad rotation but I think we jsut could use a young guard with potential who we wouldn't have to give up alot to get

As long as it doesn't include AV or Boobie, I'm fine with that...

I was trying to think of a team with a swingman of value and a PF/C who could give us 10-15 minutes a night without taking away from JJ or AV.

Whether or not the Wiz would do it is another question. Wally and a 1st maybe. Three way with another team and send them another 1st?
