The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was trying to think of a team with a swingman of value and a PF/C who could give us 10-15 minutes a night without taking away from JJ or AV.

Whether or not the Wiz would do it is another question. Wally and a 1st maybe. Three way with another team and send them another 1st?

I'd be more than willing to give up AV and a couple firsts if we brought back Butler. Still a very, very long shot. But you have to give to get.

I think something with Sacramento, Golden State, or Charlotte would be most likely in this scenario. That or a 3way trade.

Sorry, but we have a deal with OKC. Anytime 3ways are involved we go to them.

Does anyone think that TMAC and scola re the players W&G is talking about and we would give up Wally, AV, and a 1st? That would be amazing if that is the case.

i doubt that houston would give up scola. he's still on his rookie contract and he's their starting pf. he has a lot of potential so i don't see him getting traded although i would love to have him here

Maybe Sacramento might be trading?

Snow and Wally for TMac and Scola works.

But I think it would be more realisticly have to give up AV to get Scola. That is not a bad move though if we don't think AV is staying.

Anyway another move could be to trade TM and Joey Dorsey for Wally and Pavs.

If we knew AV wasn't gonna resign or we weren't gonna meet their price demands then Scola would be the perfect replacement. He gives you toughness defensively, can rebound well, and can shoot the midrange jumper.

I'm 50/50 on McGrady, i think he might fit well because he is pretty unselfish like Bron and can pass the ball well. But his drive concerns me, doctors say he needs to actually play on his knee for it to improve. So i question his toughness/drive.........

Funny you should say that.

Remember the name: Nick Collison

Get used to seeing it a lot.

Lol now you gonna come on here acting like you got some inside info that Collison is coming here. Wilcox just went down so i doubt this is true........

No.. I meant get used to seeing it a lot in "trade rumors".

I didnt mean he was coming here, although that is something I think that the Cavs may explore.

I am watching the Blazers....Channing Frye makes some sense

and I guess Nick Collison asked for a trade

I would like either one of those guys on this squad

Channing has two problems: He has the IQ of a goat, and he doesnt listen to coaches. If he were to come here, it would be as filler.

This was strictly out of being bored, but i was looking at Memphis and OKC. Both could use some changes, so i will explain my thinking on this trade. This trade might seem somewhat ridiculous but i'm gonna post it anyways because again it was out of being bored and i can't do no worse than the beloved Heath.

Cavs acquire:
Rudy Gay
Nick Collison
Greg Buckner

Thunder acquire:
Hakim Warrick
Darko Milicic

Grizzlies acquire:
Jeff Green
Anderson Varejao
Wally Szczerbiak

Rudy Gay has been struggling this season and Mayo has been playing great so they could look to build around him. I think that they could consider moving Gay to fill holes elsewhere. They have a big hole at pf, they have been starting Arthur for most of the season but he is playing pretty bad. So i think they would have interest in AV as they did before and would probably consider signing him long term. Then Jeff Green brings them more of a defensive sf who might be a better fit next to Mayo than Gay is. They get rid of a couple of guys who seem to play little roles on that team and gain more cap space for next offseason to add more talent to that roster.

OKC has been playing really bad, they might just need to shake things up. Collison is not happy with his role on the Thunder as Milicic is not happy with his on Memphis. So the guys find new homes and the Thunder bring in a contract with less years on it than Collison's. Warrick to me is very underrated, the guy has shot over 50% from the field when he starts over the last 2 seasons. Overall averaging 15-16ppg and about 7rpg in 73 starts. Right now he is shooting close to 50% again but he is strictly coming off the bench averaging 10/5 in just 23 mpg. He imo would be a nice compliment to Durant with his inside/outside game.

For the Cavs they bring in a young stud at the 2 guard position who could be a long term piece for this team. He is struggling right now but the kid is to good to stay in this funk for a really long period of time. We could consider him coming off the bench as a 6th man at first just to see how he fits and how things start to play out as the season goes on. Collison is a good defender/rebounder with a good midrange jumper. Imo he can do a pretty good job filling Andy's shoes but we do lose some athleticism when you compare him to AV. I love Andy and would want him to stay but with the way he is playing(good) and his contract demands last offseason. His price could probably still be too high and we could lose him for nothing. But again if the Cavs fill like they can work something out then so be it, i would like to keep him anyways. As for Buckner, he was pretty much just a throw in because i'm pretty sure the Grizz would like to get rid of him. But he is a good defender, so he could play a role in key parts of the game when we need a stop on the defensive end.

Well that was my reasoning for all teams, take it for what its worth. I'm tired lol.....

I don't think Gay can play SG and OKC would still need more. Jeff Green has shown improvements every year and I think he's improved even more since being moved to PF.

I'm not gonna argue whether the trade could happen or not because when i posted it i thought i could get hammered for it (Not saying you were harsh), but i do think Gay can play the 2 guard spot. Height wise he is definitely a sf (6'8 i believe), but i think he can guard 2 guards. He is a pretty decent defender, very athletic and doesn't have bad lateral quickness. Plus he would definitely give the opposing defenses fits with him and Bron out there along with Mo.
