The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Daenerys dropped some rap game like she was doing a verse on Sucka MC's. Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, Stormborn, etc.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

She's got the longest intro. :chuckles:

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

That episode was incredible. Can't wait for the fight.

Oh Tyrion dropping the hammer. SOmething we all wish we could do at one point or another. Just look to every person we fucking hate and tell them all how much they suck. Oh that felt so good.

Saw the preview for next week.
Lysa going out the window!!

That was cathartic for Tyrion and putting all his chips on the table.

Very, very powerful scene. They nailed it again.

Now let's see if they nail the trial by combat, easily one of my top five scenes in the books.

I dont think any other scene has made me want to catch up to the books as bad as that was. Just brilliant.
On to book 2 for me.

Dinklage made everyone in that room his bitch....also, fuck Shae

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

To see Tyrion's face go from defeated to despair to rage without saying a word was intense. I need to rewatch that scene for sure

Can't wait to watch it on my lunch break today. Also Emilia Clarke is the most perfect combo of adorable and super hot. Though she's more attractive with her Daenarys hair.

If this is your mind set regarding this show, I would hate being you (I know it's not just you by any means). Constantly comparing/contrasting the book vs. the show, does it live up to what I experienced whilst reading it...i mean, jesus - that sounds awful!

In regards to the trial by combat,
this seems like one of those scenes that is destined to fail if expecting the same from the books. I'm trying to prepare myself for a completely different experience. The head crushing bit in and of itself will likely be impossible to recreate effectively. I just hope they can capture the emotional ups and downs of the scene. And hopefully the puke. :chuckles:

I think they can do it well.
I always pictured it like the "you killed my father" scene from the Princess Bride. The dude playing the Viper has been killing it, just wished they used him more. As for him toying with the Mountain, I can totally see it. I think they'll get it right.

"I'm guilty....guilty of winning an emmy."

Amazing scene. I was legitimately pumped up watching that, even though I knew it was coming. That Tywin-Tyrion stare down was amazing. I loved how the director focused on Jamie-Cersei-Tywin-Tyrion and the camera kinda flowed between them focusing on all of their reactions. You could tell it was killing Jamie watching his brother get humiliated.
They totally set the stage well for Jamie and Varys to break Tyrion out, especially since the only person Tyrion actually asked a question of was Varys, and that was only to get him to feel shame
. You saw little snippets of Margaery looking on reacting to certain things knowing full well that Tyrion is actually innocent. :chuckles: @ Oberyn's line "Well, did you fuck him like it was his last night?"

Looks like Stannis is now fully backed by the Iron Bank?

The Ironborn - Ramsay scenes served its purpose but was meh to me. Showed how broken Reek is and set up Moat Cailin stuff. I think they did a good job encapsulating that really weird relationship betwen Ramsay and Theon where Ramsay has this sick, twisted affection for reek, and vice versa. Literally like a pet dog.

That bath scene was incredibly creepy.

Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread

Do you think people still hate Theon? Do they pity him?
His arc in ADWD was my favorite
so I am hoping that the correct message is getting across.
