The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't care how many times I watch it the first 18 minutes of S6E10 are simply the best 18 minutes in television history. My god.

The fact that the first ten minutes is pretty much just a song (Light of the Seven, one of the best OSTs from the entire series), with very little dialogue when you think about the extent of what really happens in that scene, is amazing. Probably the most well done scene in the entire series, up there with the massacre at Hardhome as well.

Yes. The whole thing. The music and how it builds. Margaery figuring it out but just a liiiitttle too late.

Yeah the music in that scene is great, and really stands out because it's unlike any of the other music in the series.

That scene was definitely incredible, but Hardhome is still #1 for me. Have probably watched that episode ~10 times.

Here's to hoping it gets topped this season.

That last shot when Jon, Tormund, and Ed get out on the last boat and the Night King raises his arms, brings up all of the wildlings that were slaughtered, and basically says "come the fuck at me bro" to Jon Snow was incredible. The music just cuts out when it happens too. This was when the show really showed that the White Walkers are the true threat and that everything else is pretty much child's play.

That scene will stick with me long after the show ends. I think that episode is still the highest rated on IMBd, but Battle of the Bastards/Winds of Winter might have eclipsed or tied it.

I think my favorite scene is when Arya duels Brienne in the practice yard. Not the most epic scene by any means but it was super fun and total fan service.

I'd be shocked if the Battle for Winterfell (pretty sure it's going to be 8x03) episode doesn't end up being the biggest spectacle in television history to be honest.

Plus, if/when Cleganebowl happens, I'd assume that'll be one of the top moments in show history if done right.

Fuck, I'm so pumped for S8.

You know, when you think about it, why was Jaime so upset when he saw a single white walker considering that Cercei has had an undead servant for about three seasons now?

"There will be pain."
"I'll scream."
"Quite a bit of pain."
"I'll scream loudly."

Man the writing in the early seasons of this show (conveniently when much of it was lifted directly from the books) is so good.

He didn't see a White Walker, did he? Just one of the undead soldiers?

That made me think of the Jaime/Brienne conversation in the bathroom/house thing too. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is such a great actor, easily one of the best in the show, and that was one of the best scenes of the entire series too.

One of the best scenes in the books too.

It's the scene where Jaime officially shifts from villain to hero.

Sam removing the stoneskin from Jorah and the amazing cut at the end of that scene will always be the GOAT.

I still hope Sam somehow ends up on the Iron Throne when it's all said and done. Especially show Sam, who is awesome. Book Sam is still kind of a pussy.
