95% in oteayor, especially over the last couple years. LOVE the board (except for Max, X, Quad, Deezy, FlaCavsfan, CBBI, and 10-12 other guys)...care a lot less about the teams than i did initially.

Not gonna spend much more time defending myself. I'm in my mind...you're not.

I think at least five of those posts explained my position re: attendance too. Another argument I'm sick of.

Five explaining your position, 150 more in an attempt to stir the pot.

But you're "sick of it."

Way to take the moral highground. :chuckles:

Hope there's a decent crowd. Going to a game for the first time this year...

WHY the fuck wouldn't it be sold out.

-First place team.
-Perfect weather for baseball.
-Friday night game.
-Fireworks.
-College I.D. night.

It won't be sold out though, ridiculous.

I can't recall a single post where I didn't make a valid point...

And who ever said I was moral?

Haven't we been over why it won't be sold out?

-Mediocre decade
-60 degrees when the sun goes down
-Friday night game and people work until 5
-Fireworks get old
-Some students are still in college

now get off my lawn.

And any other excuses people haven't thought of to distract from market size and the general stupid boycott of the Dolan owned team.

If you replace "valid point" with 'strawman arguments' or 'antagonistic blabber' I totally agree with you.

It's because casual fans are the ones who have to fill the stands (there are only so many diehard Tribe fans who go every night) and in truth, no one believes they're for real yet. Our schedule has been cake so far. Last year we got through April/May at 32-20 and then finished the year below .500. If there's playoff excitement, you bet your ass the seats will start to fill up. Until then, the season is far too long and the sample size is far too small to get the casual fan out to the park. Sucks for the players while they're winning early but that's just how it goes.

this was also proven wrong n the last couple months of 05 and 07.

I don't make straw-man arguments and I don't blabber either. Blabbering is 4-5 sentences or more. I gif my points and summarize them into tight, meaningful little packages. You're mixing me up with someone else.

You are the king of the straw-man argument and struggled HORRIBLY when you argued with me during a two day stretch when I hadn't tired of the attendance argument yet. So many straw-man arguments and evasiveness in there, until you must have given up...and rightly so. I would have too if I were you.

Regardless, I have one more response and a total of 3-4 sentences left in me at maximum, so if you've got anything else on this one...please try to argue in a gif format.

Because it would take three consecutive years of playoff appearances for the stadium to fill up.

And that is NOT a strawman argument. :chuckles:

Agreed on both points. This actually summarizes my argument perfectly and I'd put it in my sig, if I wasn't dedicating it to punishing Deezy for shitty music and to treat the entire board to what they should be listening to while they refuse to attend Indians games.

Whatever helps continue your ever valuable presence on here as you slowly realize you care less about sports and more about realizing you're here because you lack any other social outlet in your life.

I'm talking about real playoff excitement, not "hey, we made it"! Casual Cleveland fans get excited when they think World Series, not first round exit. Until this team proves that it's a serious contender and not a fluke, people won't show up. It's not like glory days of the 90s when the Browns were gone and the Tribe was the contender to get behind... people are clutching to their wallets as is and there are just way too many games on the schedule for the average fan to care unless we're dominant.

Not happening douche-sausage...

B00bie truly is the king of the straw man. It was painfully evident in the Weeden debate.
