Dirk wins it in comeback fashion over the Bulls. 15-1 run to close the game.

Watch out for those Mavs. We're not getting that Lakers pick. What a fucking joke.

Dallas executes. The lakers are garbage. What happens in the event the lakers do not make the play offs? We get the lakers pick next year? the 8th seed is going to change hands a lot before its over.

We never 'had' the Lakers pick. We own the Miami Heats 1st round pick this year but we have rights with the Lakers to swap any of our own 1st round picks with theirs, namely our Miami Heat pick hence going from pick 30 all the way down to 16 (hopefully).

The potential swap described above is only good for this year only. It does not roll over to next year. And it is only in effect this year if the Lakers make the playoffs.

2013 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers
Cleveland has the right to swap the least favorable of their own 2013 1st round pick, Miami's own 2013 1st round pick and Sacramento's own 2013 1st round pick (top-13 protected) with the L.A. Lakers own 2013 first round pick (top-14 protected). If the L.A. Lakers own 2013 first round pick is #1-#14, then the L.A. Lakers' obligation to Cleveland shall be extinguished. [Cleveland-L.A. Lakers, 3/15/2012]

Silly me for ever thinking we had a shot at that Lakers pick. Its over.

EDIT: If the Lakers lose tonight, I'm done worrying about it. It will be the final nail in the coffin of their playoff hopes. No way they lose to Sac and then manage to beat Dallas.

Lakers down by 7 in the 3rd to the Kings :thumbdown

We're not getting that pick

Spoke too soon I guess lol

It looks like point guard Kobe is back.

Although his 5-14 shooting might have something to do with that :chuckles:

Wow - that was a "classic" between the Lakers and Kings.

Nash goes out of the game after trying to play with an injury. Logs about 2 minutes.

Kobe plays 48 minutes. Obviously not completely himself with the injuries, and still takes hero shots. But he helped them win, almost getting a triple double despite bad shooting. I don't think this 48-minutes-for-Kobe can be sustained for too long, though you never know with D'Antoni.

Kings forget how to run the Lakers out of the building.

Cousins attempts a tying 3-pointer, complains he got fouled (probably did), gets the ball back and launches again with 14 seconds left. Misses just as badly as the first one would have missed, with a bunch of 3-point shooters on the floor. Mind you, I like Cousins a lot. But totally braindead there. Then gets one more three off as the Kings last shot. :chuckles:

Lakers survive to limp through another day. I am having trouble seeing their path to the playoffs, but if they can squeak by one game at a time, that's a start.

Only gotta last two more weeks.

No doubt. He is clearly affected by the injuries. Not as much lift or explosiveness, but if he can withstand the pain...
