Trade deadline Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm glad you gave your input to. I like the lists but Just Utah doesn't want an expiring for an expiring. I really hope Atlanta is crashing and burning so we can get JJ.

Tayshaun Prince anyone? I don't know if hes available but he fits in perfectly.

Not available.

Plus he'd have to beat out this guy named Lebron for a starting position on our team. I don't think we'd play Lebron or Prince HUGE minutes at the 4, which would be necessary if we had Prince.

prince can play the 2 unlike alot of sf, that being said, he is not avialable....perfect fit, but not available.

Eh, I don't know about him playing the 2. He's a definite 3, almost always plays the 3. I agree he's a great fit in terms of his defense and he can score if need be, but position-wise he's not ideal at all.

i'd take any of Detroits Big players except Billups. I like Rip to.

How come he can not play the 2? He is quick enough to guard any sg or sf in the league, and he has a good enough shot that you have to respect his outside shot. Not that 36.5% 3pt shooter is all world, but it is respectable. Just because he is 6'9' doesnt mean he cant play sg. What wing player in the entire league is he not capable of guarding? They have rip at sg, so they dont need him there, but he definately could play there.

I believe that he could play the two, or LeBron could. Can you imagine the matchup problems teams would have against us?

What about this.

We would definately have to include some picks though.

I'm kind of tore on Horford, he isn't big enough IMO to play PF on our team. Although this does solve the big and SG problem please put some input in. If some one can come up with a realistic three way trade that gets us a big and SG i'll give you five rep.

Why in god's name would Atlanta trade away their franchise player (JJ) AND their best big?

Even IF they're doing bad and Johnson demands a trade, there's no way they'd move their young, second year center along with him.

I know that, but i'm bored and am not good with three team trades. So I try to keep it with one team and it solved both our problems. And you wouldn't think that they wuld trade Horford and JJ, but then again I didn't think KG and Ray Allen would be on the Celts last year. Point is you never know unilt you try.

As far as a trade that gets us a SG and a PF, the most realistic trade idea out there right now for a good starting SG that doesn't ruin our 2010 capspace would be Wally + a 1st for Miller and Cardinal. While Minnesota likes Miller's veteran presence, his age doesn't really fit with their core, and by unloading him and Cardinal's awful contract, they can offer Bynum a max deal this coming offseason. Also, both expire next year, so we will still have enough room in 2010 to re-sign LeBron and offer a max deal to someone like Bosh.

A realistic trade for a good PF is harder to come by. The most available starting-caliber PF's appear to be K-Mart, Al Harrington, Zach Randolph, and Chris Wilcox.

Wilcox is an expiring, and I don't think we're willing to part with good young talent, which is what OKC would want for him. If we're lucky, they'd go for a Snow + our 09 second.

K-Mart is owed $16,545,454 in 2011, so he'd ruin our 2010 capspace. He's just not worth it, especially with his injury history and his knees.

Zach Randolph... well, need I say anything about him? We just don't want him here... nobody in the NBA does.

Al Harrington doesn't have the size to play PF for us, and is perimeter-oriented and shoots a low percentage. On top of that, Golden State likes him. I just can't see us bringing him in.

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to solve our PF dilemma this year. I think we're just going to have to stick it out with Ben/JJ/Darnell/Z/AV/Wright as our bigs. Next year, however, Ben's expiring will be in VERY high demand to a team looking to clear cap room for 2010. However, would we make a trade for a PF then? Or, would we rather wait, and see if we can lure Bosh here with a max deal?

KG and Ray were both traded because they were veterans on teams that were rebuilding. It made sense to trade them.

If the Hawks do poorly, MAYBE if we're REALLY lucky and he demands a trade, Joe Johnson becomes available. However, if they're rebuilding, they wouldn't trade away their 22 year old center who was VERY good last year.

Yes thats true PF's and C have to be drafted unles you are lucky ala Gasol.
