Trade talk already hot and heavy - Chad Ford

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
AK would be an excellent pickup in my opinion, he's a good passer, rebounder and an excellent shot blocker. As others have pointed out he's just not comfortable at SF and needs to be at PF, when Boozer doesnt play AK looks like an all-star. He seems to be the type of player the Cavs are moving towards, basically someone that's interchangeable on defense since he can guard SG to PF. I dont see any reason why he couldnt average 15, 8, 3, 3 with the Cavs like he has in the past.

I'd much rather they trade for Ak, then to revisit the Vince Carter trade.....

Didn't the front office just spend a bunch of years getting out from under horrible contracts? Aren't we finally in a stable place where we have a very very good roster now with some youth, some experience, great expirings and future flexibility?

Why on earth would we want to destroy that by brining in AK and his albatross contract. The expirings have to be worth way more than him closer to trade deadline.

Would his contract be as ugly if he were averaging 16ppg, 8rpg, 4apg, 3bpg and 2spg?

I have no doubt that AK could return to that kind of production, there's nothing wrong with him physically, the big problem for him is that he's not playing PF right now.

The Cavs were on the verge of acquiring Vince Carter whose contract is just as ugly, longer and Carter is 4 years older.

If playing purely PF would bring him back to all-star numbers, then I could see it possibly being worth it.

I was never a fan of the idea of bringing in Vince Carter either.

I just think that there have got to be better options come deadline time.

I haven't seen AV's offense yet, but I know he's got to be better than Ben. AK could potentially average 15ppg here which would be great, but the D he would bring in is twice as nice.

Umm the guy has some mental issues.

I wouldnt want AK47 on this team,he's too soft......Our best bet is to either try get someone like VC,Curry,Zach,Lee,or Webster.Maybe even try to rape the Bucks again to get Redd.:dunno:

Soft? He averaged over 3 blocks and 1.5 steals and 8 rebs when he was a starting pf. How is that soft? Just because he is slender for a pf and white doesnt make him soft. The more I think about, the more i like the idea of adding him. He does the little things that need to be done to win basketball games. Utah is almost a better team when Kirelinko starts at pf for them instead of boozer. The only negative is that redicoulous contract would prevent us from being players in the summer of 2010, but wihat if we have 1 or 2 championships by then....we wouldnt need the another star. And if we get brewer in the deal, that would be insane. Brewer is the perfect compliment at sg for our 2 front court stars.

He's not mentally tough and kinda injury prone.Stats have nothing to do with it.Pau Gasol puts up numbers too,but he's soft ass hell.

i don't know if any of oyu have heard this story

once every year AK's wife lets him go out and have sex with another women. That has to be the best marriage ever. How many guys are that lucky

Gerald Wallace is being shopped around the league:

As for the Bobcats roster, Larry Brown talked Michael Jordan out of trading forward Gerald Wallace over the summer, but that hasn’t stopped him from shopping him in the preseason, sources say. Charlotte was hoping to showcase Adam Morrison enough in the preseason to find a taker for him.

Offer up Eric Snow, Larry Brown would probably trade half his roster just to get Snow on their bench.

The thing is, I dont see any real options for a starting big man. Kirilenko maybe, maybe even Sheed, maybe David Lee.

But theres a much better chance of a starting 2-guard being available around mdseason because of how many there are around the league.

Mike Miller, Gerald Wallace, John Salmons, Michael Redd...

The only possible big guy I can think of would be Okafor, and I certainly wouldn't mind that...

This thread is very mis-leading all I see in here is some fantasy trade talks, I have yet to see any trade rumors on any sites since this thread started.
