Trade talk already hot and heavy - Chad Ford

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
*cough* Wally for Mike Miller/Brian Cardinal *cough*

This needed to happen yesterday.
If we have to take on Mike Miller's contract to get Brian Cardinal, then I think this is something that needs to be strongly considered...

Mike Miller is the throw in for Cardinal....btw i know Cardinal...he is an ass.

48. Michael Redd
My main fear: I think he's getting traded before the February deadline. Probably to Cleveland. Probably in one of those "Wally Szczerbiak's expiring contract, Sasha Pavlovic, cap fodder and two crappy No. 1s for Redd and Dan Gadzuric's awful contract" fire sales, a financial hit that nobody would absorb in the NBA right now except for Dallas and Cleveland. And Dallas doesn't have the No. 1s to swing the deal. Which means Redd is headed for a complementary role in Cleveland. Which means his numbers will drop just in time for your fantasy playoffs

For fantasy basketball, Speaks on Redd coming to the Cavs

Why would a Redd/Mo backcourt work better in Cleveland?

I had the feeling this was a one or the other deal, and they were only willing to give up one, so we took Mo while we could.

If we could get an All-Star PF/C on this team, it'd be a Godsend. When JJ develops (hopefully into a starter) we can have him in the frontcourt next to the new star, who would move from PF to C as Z retires. That'd be great, though we'd still have a problem at SG. But at that point, I believe Ferry could solve any problem with time.

I'm not saying it would, Just posting a interesting article i read on ESPN

Wally 1st for Sjax and Harington or Mike Miller and cardinal.

please one of those trades go through.

Yes I understand a Mo/Redd backcourt would be different because we have lebron..........OFFENSIVELY. You have to realize were taking half of Milwaukees starting lineup right there and guess what........MILWAUKEE DOESNT PLAY DEFENSE. That would be a HORRIBLE backcourt defensively.

We'd become the Bucks 2.0 no thanks.

Except with Lebron James, a competent head coach, a team that plays defense and rebounds well, and a better bench. But yeah, other than that, we'd be the Bucks 2.0.

Well that is exactly what I meant, and no we wouldn't play D we'd get scorched all night long by guards that can score ala Kobe, CP, DWill, Dwade, Starbury, Billups, etc.......................................... the list goes on and on because our guards would have no D. Also why do people insist on wanting Redd when we already have Mo? The last thing we need is a guard setting a scoring record against us because our perimiter D sucks.

P.S that is why I said 2.0 because we would be twice as good as them lol.

Redd was scoring option 1 and mo option 2....here lebron is one, redd would be 2 and mo would be 3....it would be totally different. I just hate how much of our offense would be initiated outside the paint.

I want an interior guy more than a sg. But if all it takes is Wally's contract to get Redd, you definetely have to consider it.

If it was the only offer that was decent i'd think about it, but Wally's contract will be worth so much more than Redd well at least I hope any way. Redd doesn't fill a huge void for us in that he is Boobie with ability to create his own shot (and height) actually we may decide that we don't need a SG this year and target one next year with BW expiring (if Wally's is valuable think about Bens 1) it's more money, 2) it's a 2010 expiring).

Unrealistic expectations. Redd is every bit the player Gasol is. People thought Memphis got ripped off by trading Gasol for an expiring. Wally's contract is worth far less than Redd straight up. We would have to most likely take on an additional bad contract or offer up picks. If thats the case, I am not sure he is worth it. Straight up, you have to consider such a talent upgrade.
