Xbox One or Playstation 4? What are you getting?

I also have been reading that Microsoft has changed their microphone input to something of their own creation. Which means that people who choose to use a 3rd party headset for game audio will be unable to communicate with teammates. I'm sure Microsoft will license this out eventually to make more money but will limit headset selection

Microsoft has their new Xbox One designed headset and are working with Turtle Beach to design new Xbox One compatible headsets. It'll be interesting to see if they sell some sort of an adapter. It took Turtle beach atleast 2 years till they sold talk back cables for their current xb360 Headsets.

Getting PS4 this time around for pretty much all the reasons stated here. More power, lower price, used games, etc. That being said, not being able to play Halo 5 is going to kill me as I have played all 5 previous installments so much. Add the shittier PS controller and it's a risky decision. Hopefully Sony can lock down some good exclusives so I don't regret this decision later on based on the game market..

Really looking forward to Destiny, hopefully that will fill my Halo void. :chuckles:

Triple, just FYI, you can use a modded 360 controller on the PS3. No reason you couldn't continue to use the exact same controller (modded 360 controller) on PS4.

Ugh.. I hate when they use non-standard components.. So fucking annoying. Just use a stereo or micro-usb interface!

I've also always rolled with the Playstation franchise (love the controller, Sony exclusives, chose correctly in the blu-ray vs. hd dvd battle, etc...) so I'm glad Microsoft did this. Bring more of the gamers to my side. More competitors in Fifa. Cheers.

Triple, just FYI, you can use a modded 360 controller on the PS3. No reason you couldn't continue to use the exact same controller (modded 360 controller) on PS4.

I'm assuming it will take a while for those to start being produced after release? Must play with that controller. The analog placement is so much better.

I use both. For any game that isn't FPS (even over the shoulder) and doesn't heavily use the triggers, I'd rather use the PS3 controller. Especially for platformers, racing games, and fighting games (sans Fight Stick). But for first person shooters, nothing beats the 360 controller. It's perfect.

But, if I had to guess how long before a controller mod drops.. mmm.. I'd say maybe a month? Don't really think it'd take too long.
