That's bullshit, watch the replay. Ellington goes into the paint to set the screen for Miles coming to the top of the key. Then Ellington sprints to the wing and comes around a screen WIDE THE FUCK OPEN as Miles forces up the shot with 2.5 seconds or so left.
Right, so when you get that question, you say, "Well we wanted to get Wayne off a screen but we wanted to make sure we got a shot off. So it wasn't ideal but we got a clean look"
Instead our coach says that was the shot they wanted, and that they wanted CJ or Wayne. And laughs throughout the presser.
I know I'm nitpicking on his choice of words but I'm just really baffled by his coaching in the second half. And people, particularly Rich, don't get me wrong. That blown lead had a lot to do with the Heat starting to hit the shots that they normally hit, us being undermanned, etc... So it isn't ALL Byron's fault, but it doesn't excuse the horrible job he did in the 2nd half.
