I think that's the point, though, that the Dodgers have the resources to get this done in theory.
The problem, imo, is that Friedman is too analytical for his own good and looks only at potential WAR and not that Frankie is a generational player; the kind of bird in hand worth 2 in the shrubbery so to speak. You happily trade a couple guys with star potential for a guy who already is a superstar, team leader, master of all trades on a path to the Hall. Maybe Friedman surprises me, looks past the raw #s and realizes what Frankie could do for a roster that talented but i have my doubts. I still see the Yanks having the balls and ammo to make a deal work; the Tribe has shown with the Cliff Lee-Choo-Bauer deals that they love 4 quarters for a dollar trades- say, Gregorius, Urshela, Florial and a couple of pitching prospects. The FO knows they screwed up on not dealing either Bauer or Kluber when their value was highest, i don't think they make the same mistake.
Gregorious is a free agent, and I will be elected Mayor of Cleveland before the Tribe trades Lindor for a package that features Gio Urshela as the most prominent major leaguer.
