Oh yeah, I buy those indie games to support the developers. Also, having them on steam is way more convinient.
I also love slay the spire.
I got a new PC less than a month ago and I'm a bit wary. Do you have any sites that are safer than others? You use a private tracker perhaps?
I didn't give two shits during that Kazzaa and Emule era lol. Just rather keep my PC malware free lol.
But not using torrents on a PC is a damn waste. It's probably the best thing available.
Are MBAM and Spybot S&D still recommended scanners? They were go-to generic tools back when I was into the scene like 10 years ago.Periodic scanning for malware w/ Malwarebytes or Spybot: Search and Destroy is a good idea too.

To add onto Wrathe's good baseline, I would highly recommend sticking a Pi-Hole in your environment and funneling all traffic through it.
Did you play all the Dark Souls games? Was looking for a challenge and bought Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice...
This game is the most difficult video game ever made. I’m not super skilled at video games, but this is just stupid..
Anyone looking for a challenge, go for it.. idk how long I’ll be able to play it because I legit just die die die die die die die die..
There’s a 30 part walkthrough online and I’ve played for probably 6 hours and haven’t made it out of part 2 of the walkthrough. Legit impossible for an average gamer

That's where Sekiro (and a complete genre of games nowadays) comes from. If you want difficulty, you can always try them out as well.

Jedi Fallen Order?Count me in as someone who kind of wishes those games had an easier difficulty level because I just don't have the time any more to get really good at games like that but would still like to experience them.

I tend to agree in Sekiro’s case. Game is just stupidly hard.Count me in as someone who kind of wishes those games had an easier difficulty level because I just don't have the time any more to get really good at games like that but would still like to experience them.
Downloading pirated software is like sleeping w/ a cheap hooker. She's dirty, probably diseased, but w/ the right tools you'll be fine.
If you're going to Torrent, I'd recommend using encryption as many ISP's specifically look for torrent traffic. You'll get a few warnings and they they'll terminate your service (Time Warner around here used to do that). However, if you use a VPN service (good ones for around $12 a month), your communication will be encrypted and your ISP can only see an encrypted connection but not the contents.
Many of the games, especially the key generators often have malware. Use a good Anti-virus kit to help prevent infections. I'm partial to Kaspersky, but I'm sure some will suggest AVG or Avast for free solutions.
For the love of God, don't use Internet Explorer. Chrome, even better Firefox w/ Noscript (pain in the ass to work w/ but locks down sites).
Periodic scanning for malware w/ Malwarebytes or Spybot: Search and Destroy is a good idea too.
Make sure to keep all updates for your OS and these security apps updated or you'll get taken out by new exploits that they won't know of yet.
That's pretty much it.
