So the NBA is assembling in an Orlando bubble to continue the season. But right now, Florida is one of the Covid-19 hot spots in the world. Some Florida mayor's are saying they should be shut down again. This has a recipe for disaster with the NBA moving in. Even in a bubble there will be leaks.
I'd still like the Cavs to get together somewhere. Just in a smaller group and for maybe 2-3 weeks.
All signs are that this is a "hell or high water" bubble; Florida will not rescind the "essential worker" designation, and honestly, at the time Orlando was chosen it seemed like a good spot case-wise.
Although Vegas as a spot for the West half of the playoffs, to reduce the spread potential, as well as maybe just 16, 12 or even 8 teams total in the restart, also seemed like a good idea.
My guess is that it would take an older coach like Pringles or Gentry getting seriously ill to permanently stop beyond a few weeks and not crown a champion...
Does Disney world have a proper basketball stadium or are they just going to be playing on random courts?
I say scrap the season and get on with the draft because fuck the other teams
The good people of Milwaukee, who besides the Packers have had to wait 50 years for a championship - sound familiar? - deserve better than that, as do Clips and Raps fans.
And yes, I'm also in the "I don't hate LeBron" camp...
