Stop winning god damnit
Dan Gilbert is in the entertainment business. He wants to put a good product on the floor, not crap.
I guess i don't understand tanking in a deep draft year. Shouldn't better players be available further down the draft board?
Shouldn't you theoretically be tanking harder for a weak incoming draft class and not as much for a strong one?

I'm not sure. Less paperwork? Gund owned 15%, so just less people involved. How does it make the club easier to sell?
Buyer agrees on price with majority owner. Minority owners can sell or hold; either way majority owner won’t care that much. Paperwork is done by lawyers and accountants but the additional cost for minority owners is trivial.I'm not sure. Less paperwork? Gund owned 15%, so just less people involved.
Geezer alert! Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot.I keep thinking about a line from a old country song.
When it seems like I'm winning, I'm really loosen again.
Put me in the camp of "trying to win", vs "trying to tank".
I WANT to watch the Cavs, I WANT to watch the youngsters grow and develop, I WANT to watch victories.
If they are tanking, I'm NOT watching. Why would I.
We're going to lose plenty of games regardless of who we put on the floor. I'm not worried at all about being "too good" after some of the performances I've seen this year.
if prince continues his good play, he might ride the bench soonSo why do they play Cedi over stevens
Oh come on, the Cavs have been playing with guys out all the time. It's not our fault the Hornets were depleted and Prince had a stupid hot night which won't be repeated soon. I suspect guys will be down tonight and again Saturday.I don't know. Some teams are tanking so hard that they would make Heinz Guderian blush.
The Cavs are trying to win games when a few others are fielding G-League level teams.
They should be stripped of their picks and forced to give the Cavs their best player.
What the Cavs need most for next season, IMO, is the player that Taurean Prince was last night - a 6'7" wing who can knock down 3's and also attack the rim and finish when he has a lane. Prince is also a good passer and gets steals on defense. We need that big, athletic wing who can put up 25 points on only 13 shots along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a block. IOW, a wing who can play the entire game, not just offense or defense, who can score efficiently and also contribute on the glass, on defense, and passing the ball.if prince continues his good play, he might ride the bench soon
Not all wins are equal. It may not be applicable this year, but sometimes a player in the Draft is worth losing a few games over.
Theoretically, would you lose a few games to get much better odds at a Doncic type player (not saying that is the case this year)?
