Exactly. Prince's contract was our lone decent size expiring and maybe we could have figured out a trade with it to get a wing.
We should have tried to see where we could have shored up our depth in the 2nd round of the draft. Then saw what positions we could have attracted any free agents. Then used Prince's contract and some assets to find a trade to patch any holes we still had.
If we did the Rubio trade now, I wouldn't have any problem with it because we would have exhausted other options. Just doing it before the draft limited us in so many ways.
Right now I'd rather have expiring to trade for a wing and be looking to pay someone that is left from the PG group with the MLE.
