oops yeah I did that line jump shit, but who cares in the grand scheme he has declined from his days in TOR where he did avg 37.6 lol which matches Cedi time in the league about now. I want them to trade Cedi for an inefficient sf that is on the block in Atlanta who maybe can play some defense. But Atlanta probably wont want the jedi

Assuming you are talking about Reddish. I would rather sign a bum off the street then trade for that scrub.

lol I would rather trade a bum off the street for him and see if he can man up and actually deliver for once before he is out of the league. Reddish was a significantly high ranked recruit in AAU. he was a sniper from deep and had an elite iso ability and was known for his playmaking ability and defensive potential. But he has had core muscle issues and is a angry boy who wants his cake and ice cream and he wants it now so he is on the block. I'd take a flier on him for Cedi and not think twice about it I don't care how bad he has been off ball.

We need players who can play off ball. Reddish doesn't help with that. And regardless of how highly recruited he was out of HS he has looked like shit 3 years in a row. He was bad at Duke and has been complete shit in ATL.

Darius Garland sucked all year as a rookie but looked solid year 2 after getting healthy. There is no reason to think taking a flier on a player as highly touted as Reddish despite his struggles due to injuries so far, especially at the price of a unhappy Cedi ,is not something this org would want to do. Reddish might just as easily continue to stink it up, but his defense alone was on full display in the playoffs and it was superior to anyone we have at the 3 imo.

The asking price per reports is high for Reddish. And he sucked at Duke. I don't recall him having any injury issues at Duke. If the Price of Cedi for Reddish was anywhere near realistic sure. But it's not. And Reddish in 3 years including college has not been anywhere near productive on offense. Highly touted or not he's been a shit show. Blame it on what ever you want. The results have not matched the hype. I wouldn't trade anything of value for him.

I'm hopeful cedi can have a better year than last. His shot was just trash. If we can somehow get him to just play a normal hench role of shooting when open and playing D
Maybe with Rubio as backup PG, he would not have to force those ill-advised shots and those one dribble 3s. He played better with more off the ball movement and shoot when open that may give him less pressure.

I’d be on the phone with Kelly Oubre immediately. He could ball out for us & get paid next year or be packaged with Sexton for an upgrade at SF. Hate the thought of Cedi, Windler, Stevens at the 3 all year.
Oubre ideally would be good but he has a shitty attitude and thinks he’s better than he is. Plus he didn’t like coming off the bench for warriors and with Okoro starting he’s not gonna like coming off the bench for us so doubt it’ll work

If you think Cedi has more value other than a higher floor then you will never find a diamond for cheap. You have to take fliers on the kids that struggle early on if you don't draft the player and develop them yourself. They are really not giving up value to trade Cedi for him at this point, but they are giving Atlanta a more consistently reliable defender and that might be enough. I think Reddish as bad as he has been, is due to injuries and inconsistent usage and it is exactly who they should look to go after in a rehab type project. Worse case scenario he finishes out the season they don't exercise the TO and he is gone and Cedi is no longer on the books either. Meh sure, but if Reddish plays for a contract and plays defense like he did hell shoots like he did at least some of the time, like he did in the playoffs. I would trade Cedi for him and never look back. We don't know what the asking price is now that they didn't get a mid-late first like they wanted.
Cedi for a rental flier on Reddish is more than worth the gamble he gives us good minutes in do or die season for him.

I literally said I would trade Cedi for Reddish. But I won't trade value for Reddish. Cedi has no value. Reddish has no value. But Hawks likely want more back then Cedi claiming upside. Sadly for Hawks no team is going to offer value for a player who has looked like shit for 3 seasons in a row.

Ok you don't think Atlanta would take Cedi for Reddish even after nobody would give up value for him, as unreliable as he has been for them? I think they would consider it just for an able body. I think you are discounting just how much his injuries have been key to his lack of shooting rhythm. I would love to be the team that took a flier only to make the Hawks look stupid later lol

No. ATL can decline Reddishs 4th year option. Therefore they have dead weight thats on an expiring contract. Why trade dead weight they can get rid of in a season for a guy who has 2 years under contract before he has a partial guarantee. So technically would even cost something if they cut him in 3 seasons?

If we are going to face facts, it looks like we will not be able to sign a SG or wing in free agency that is worth a hill of beans.
If we are going to add one of these guys that can help the roster a lot, it has to be by a trade.

They picked up his option for this season already after his 3 years of suck and still thought they could get a first for him.
They would trade him for Cedi and the Cavs would be wise to take the gamble and be the team that has the option next summer instead of being stuck with last years version of Cedi, the one that is unhappy playing role player on a bad team. He would probably be fine on a good team with less usage most of the time but can get you some transition scoring and facilitate when Trae has to be brought out because he's getting killed as a defender.
