Would Sexton turn it down in hopes of getting more after next season? Maybe. But there's always the chance of another injury. If he turns it down, no harm done. If he takes it and makes a full recovery we have a 25 pig scorer at $14M per year for three years.

But, yeah, the kicker is the Cavs may still not know if what he does makes them win more games and if whatever they offer him might be better spent on a wing.

I don’t think Sexton’s pride will allow him to take a deal like that. He’s the type of guy who will bet on himself and just go to work in an effort to improve himself.

So folks, Mr. Ozone is taking the year off.

A couple things that should have been obvious to him:

1) Don't get into a feud with mods. It is a futile endeavor.

2) Don't throw around a Grade A slur.

Hopefully he learns something during his enforced absence. And is an example of what NOT to do.

I'd take our previous offer back to Sexton and see if he likes it better now. The idea of us getting him for $14 mil/3 yrs is a fantasy world, nonsensical non-starter IMO. He's going to come back stronger and wiser than ever.

We went through this with the JA valuation and signing. So far I was right about his situation, and I have a feeling I'm right about Sexton.

Disagree? Come at me.
 
I’d like to add a major thank you to those that sent me or other mods a private message instead of getting involved in a back and forth that no one would have won.

I think i missed the slur, but to be fair, calling someone Mr Ozone at this point would be a slur in itself.
