2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
and another holding penalty that got wiped out against the Rams..

so really 65 yards.

All of which have put us in some really god awful situations.

Seriously, that's your argument?

You aren't even trying at this point. You found the one player who would actively make Greg Robinson an upgrade and are dying on a hill for no reason.

You have lost it.

Greg Robinson has committed 5 penalties for 55 yards.

Nate Solder has committed 3 penalties for 30 yards.

Stop.

Edit: It's actually 4 penalties, so who knows where it's at now.

Additionally: Greg Robinson has allowed 1 sack, Nate Solder has allowed 5.

The 4th was a hold declined in the Minnesota game

How? Because he’s making bone headed penalties at all the wrong times? Robinson has just simply not been good, and the offensive line as a whole is not in synch.

So making a change is pretty much going to have to happen at this point. I personally think Solder is a much better player than Robinson in general and commits less bone headed plays as well.

He had 4 penalties for 30 last year, and Greg had 7 for 65 from just week 10-17.

Come on.

But...Solder is clearly not a better player by any measure.

Why do you think Nate Solder is good?

He’s an upgrade at a position that’s very difficult to upgrade mid season....

a 5th/6th round pick is the least of my worries as this ship keeps sinking

Again, based on what?

The amount of pressures and sacks attributed to him doesn't say that at all.

You brought up penalties. Robinson has committed 2 more penalties than Solder for a total of 20 more yards. How is that a big difference and worth giving up a "mid round pick" for?

Yes but you're not thinking about all the sacks and penalties Robinson is committing in practice that's throwing off Baker.

On top of being better than G Rob, Solder is actually a cap save if he’s cut this off season...

So anyone claiming his contract is a hold up is just flat out wrong.

Still isn't worth a 2nd or 3rd. I also wouldn't be cutting G-Rob to make room. If they want to bring him in, he competes for the job.

And he will likely be cut, because he's been so terrible.

To eat all that dead money, the Giants will surely want a decent pick

Is it worth it to burn a 3rd to get a marginal upgrade at LT for the remaining 9 games?

You still haven't made a compelling argument on why you think Solder is better.

Again,

please look at the penalty statistics I posted from all of last season.

Robinson started 7 games and doubled Solder in penalties and penalty yardage.

Do you actually think Greg Robinson is better than a former Pro Bowl LT? If so then my point is moot to you anyways, but I personally believe Solder is the far superior player so arguing with me about it isn’t going to go anywhere.

Yikes. That's a lot of money to eat for any player. Says a lot about his value. A lot of not good things.

1st: Nate Solder has never come close to sniffing a Pro Bowl.

2nd: Of all the things to care about, penalty yardage is about 12th on the list.

3rd: They are equally graded on PFF this year, and Nate Solder has been significantly worse at giving up sacks.

I think Greg Robinson stinks and if you can upgrade from him, then I have no problem doing it. But Nate Solder sucks and is not an upgrade at all. And since leaving Coach Scar, he's been fucking terrible, as many predicted.
