2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Minkah is a great 21st century defensive back who would be great in Wilks' system. He is the type of player Dorsey has been looking for in free agency: slot/strong/free/whatever defensive back.

I doubt they get him, but I'd be thrilled.

Shoot, lets go for it!!! A lot of people on this board had him high so getting him to pair with Ward, in that secondary, would be nice. The question is, what would be his price?

Id rather use assets to acquire any lineman or linebackers they may have. Not sure what the talent is, but id love to pick talent off of the dead body that is becoming the Dolphins.

Their line was ranked the worst in the league. And that was before the traded Tunsil.

Well that's the thing - they don't have any talent. That's why they're tanking.

I get what ya mean by that, but Minkah is in a situation with a new coach who isn't a good fit for him and he would be a way better player in Cleveland.

Now to me OLine is a priority in all honesty, but if we have a chance to add very good talent regardless of position for the right price then you do it.

@Randolphkeys or anyone else who knows, what was Minkah's PFF ratings from his rookie season?

According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, the Dolphins are seeking a first-round pick in trade talks for DB Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Unhappy with his role on a Dolphins squad circling the drain, Fitzpatrick reportedly wants out of Miami. The rebuilding Fins would be happy to accommodate him, but only at the right price. They're seeking a first-rounder for him, though that might be a tad ambitious. Per Raanan, a second-round pick would probably be a more realistic asking price for Fitzpatrick, a two-time college All-American with 4.46 wheels. Fitzpatrick has underwhelmed to this point in his career, though his versatility should make him appealing to teams in need of secondary help.

As a slot corner he was elite

The question is if Wilks lets him start in the nickel role or brings him off the bench like he does with Carrie. If it is the former than he could really help this defense. I watched the All-22 views and the touchdown Ward gave up occurred because Randall went the totally wrong direction. Ward was playing the outside, as he was supposed to, but Randall went ball hunting instead of working in coverage.

The problem is, if Wilks will barely use him, then I would not want to trade the second round pick.
