2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We’re probably gonna Stan whoever they pick. As long as the reach isn’t too much I’m cool

I’d accept culver, hunter, garland or white. As long as they stay away from reddish

I think the top 8 on the Cavs draft board looks something like this:

1) Zion Williamson
2) RJ Barrett
3) Ja Morant
4) De’Andre Hunter
5) Jarrett Culver
6) Coby White
7) Darius Garland
8) Cam Reddish

Hope we trade with miami to get pick 13 and then draft Bol Bol

Picking Hunter at 5 would be the blandest and least exciting way they could go.
Like how do you even sell that pick to fans?
"Hey everybody please get excited for our number 5 pick Deandre hunter! A 3 and d forward who has little to no upside, and who is going to be 22 by the end of the year!"

Noooooo! Not unless the Cavs want to spend a lottery pick on a 7’2” 208 lb spot-up shooter off the bench, who doesn’t play defense, isn’t strong enough to play down low, and has a long history of injuries.

Beilein loves Hunter and the Cavs scouted him in person a dozen times this past season. He’s the prototypical 3&D guy, but the Cavs will sell it as though the Virginia scheme held him back and he is capable of much more.
I’m 90% sure he is the pick.

The cavs need someone that can facilitate offense to play with Sexton and that would be Culver. I'd be surprised and dissapointed if they take Hunter with Culver on the board.

same things were probably said re Porzinigis minus the injuries

Porzingis was 20 lbs heavier when he came in the NBA and he didn’t have the same injury concerns that Bol did. Watching Bol play basketball is like watching a baby giraffe try to play, as his limbs are so long and thin. Additionally, his metabolism appears to be so high, I just don’t think he will be able to add weight in the NBA. When you are that thin and your center of gravity is that high, you are always going to be prone to injuries. Obviously that’s a big problem when you’re trying to project him down the road.

I think he can carve out a career similar to what his dad, Manute, had, which is a guy who can come in off the bench and provide 10 to 15 minutes per game. However, he’s not going to play like the traditional NBA PF or C, as he just doesn’t have the strength to play down low. He’s basically a guard wrapped in the body of a 7’2” man.

Toronto just neutralized Golden State by having guys who could guard and shoot at every position.....a few who could guard multiple positions and shoot. I’m not sure why anyone would be dissapointed taking a player that fits that mold?

Jay Bilas on the radio just now said Hunter is #4 on his board. He thinks he's being underrated by some.

Loves his ability to defend every position, 1-5, and an excellent shooter.

I think everyone acts like 3&D isn't valuable. But there are levels to this. He could be one of the best at this role in the NBA. And if his handle keeps improving, you've got a great player.

Kawhi didn't always look like he'd develop like he has. Excellent defender with good shooting fundamentals.
