2019 NFL Draft: Day 1 Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was just about to post the same thing re: Raiders. Imagine the Browns having 3 first round picks and coming away with that haul. I'd be sick. I haven't paid as close attention to the draft as usual for obvious reasons, Abram may very well end up being worth the pick, but Jacobs and Ferrell taken where they were just seems inexcusable.

It would be like having 2 picks and coming away with Gilbert and Johnny Football.

Or coming away with Myles, Peppers and Njoku...ok that one was pretty good even if Peppers was part of a trade.

People get so worked up after finding out months of the same mock draft were worthless, only to complain that their team took Mel Kiper's 2nd DE prospect instead of his 1st DE Prospect.

Draft season is so weird, man.

I'm here for it.

Rock Ya-Sin is the guy I covet. I hope the presence of Williams and Murphy still being on the board insulate his falling to us at 49.

I think Justin Layne is the best corner left, Rock Ya-Sin has an all time name and would be happy to have that name as a Brown.....oh and he is pretty good too.

If only we could go back in time and match up Rock Ya-Sin vs Fair Hooker... I think it'd be a good battle.

He better enjoy that all time name while it lasts, because once Dicker the Kicker enters the draft, it’s over.

Or we could just mix their names and have Fair Ya-Sin or the best name of all time in Rock Ya-Hooker

Hey don't forget that the Browns gave up a slightly disappointing but above average strong safety too, pal.

Peppers hurt allot IMO, he was coming along nicely, more than just above average and he was still on his rookie contract.

But its not me bitching, you have give to get, and Odell will be amazing in Cleveland.

How was Peppers disappointing...

He was really starting to come into his own last year.

Pretty sure Gettleman's last 24 hours of talent evaluation and Dorsey's "our 17th pick was OBJ" with no mention of Jabrill tells you all you need to know about the internal evaluation in Berea.

Worse than Daniel Jones at 6? I guess you could make the argument that while Ferrell is almost assuredly going to be a far better player, there were still a lot of EDGE Rushers available with more upside and the the QB class apart from Kyler isn't great so whichever one you pick at 6 is probably not going to be that good.

Honestly, I'm never going to completely trash a team for taking the guy the feel can be a franchise QB.

I find it way easier to say "Look, we think Daniel Jones can be a franchise QB. There were no other prospects that do what he does" than to convince me that Ferrell was a good choice at 4.

I can respect that, Ferrell at 4 is till fucking wild to me.
