2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Maybe I’m a super homer and an idiot but why does this team feel like it’s one star away from being a solid playoff team? Sexton and Garland work imo. Allen is a beast. We have a lot of solid role guys like Nance, Love and Okoro.
I literally seems like we’re one guy away. That’s so frustrating

Nets and Philly both glad they don't see us in the first round lol
People tend to forget how weird this season was, specially for the cavs. There were a few games that we didn't have any guards at all. Love's injury. Drummond's status. KPJ going berserk.

Do guys even remember the time we had too much guards in sexland, delly and exum? Seems like a life time ago huh?

We were like "There aren't enough minutes for all our wings" lol

We’d be like all the teams LeBron faced in the first round - squashed bugs on the windshield of his Finals runs.

Ignoring the time the Pacers took us to 7 and could have easily won, or any of the other 1st round weird matchups that gave them trouble. Yeah if you ignore that stuff, or how the 1st round often solidified who was dependable the rest of the playoffs, I guess your are right.

Give us an above average wing and put us up against superstar-laden teams like Philly, Brooklyn, or either LA team and we’d still get stomped.

We‘re a young improving team that’s fun to watch but we have a LONG way to go to be competitive on that level. Note that adding the wing still means we have zero superstars.

As for LeBron occasionally having to press to get past the first round - fact is he’s never lost in the first round. Teams with multiple superstars rarely do.

There is one answer to your concern - toronto. Tormented by lebron and the cavs, they pounced on the opportunity when they got it and won it all. The key is being in the position to do so, something a lot of people with the "can't win it all", "probably a first round exit", don't realize.

Come on, guys. We're not close to being any sort of headache for the tops teams in any game that has real meaning to them.

We're close to being competitive on a nightly basis during the regular season, and I'm just happy about that.

Kawhi is a superstar, not an above average wing.

I’m actually in favor of following the path of Toronto, Portland, Utah etc. We want to be competitive in the regular season and have a shot to do what the Knicks are doing for example. We still need more talent but we also need more time for the kids to develop.

Isaiah Hartenstein has a concussion and is out for Monday vs. Toronto.

This is a tough blow as Hartenstein has been outstanding in limited minutes. Dean Wade and Kevin Love could pick up run as the Cavs roll out smaller lineups.

Matthew Dellavedova (neck) is out for Monday vs. Toronto.

If Delly is on your fantasy roster your season ended months ago.

Larry Nance fractured his right thumb on Sunday night and will not play vs. the Raptors on Monday.

The Cavaliers were pretty much eliminated from the postseason over the weekend so they won't rush Nance back. There's no word of a specific timetable though. Dean Wade could pick up some run and is worth a look in deeper formats.

Tank Wars - The beginning

Coming to theaters on Monday.

With only 12 games left, I’d be pretty surprised if we move up or down from our current 6th slot. Orlando and OKC are tanking hard too. Even a 2-10 or 1-11 finish is likely not going to move us “up“ to 5th or 4th

Cavs 118 Raps 116! Long live Brodric Thomas and the Ghost of Cedi Osman!!!
