2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, Stevens hit his head on the backboard pretty hard so I think his concussion is legit. That used to happen to me all the time. :chuckle:

Hartenstein got head-butted in the face and he was called for the foul. It opened up a gash. Pretty sure that's legit, too. Nance has a fractured thumb. X-rays don't lie. All three were collision injuries as opposed to compressed schedule injuries.

This totally sucks because I've been waiting patiently to see what the final version of this team looks like after the trades were completed and everyone got healthy. We saw that for about two games before the injuries started up again, first with Sexton and now a new rash. All I wanted was 10-15 games with Allen and Hartenstein at center, Love and Nance at PF, Okoro and Prince at SF, and Sexton, Garland, and Delly sharing the guard spots. Was that too much to ask?

Yep.

The upside is it improves our chances for a higher draft pick. All these concussions could be beneficial in the long term.
Yeah everyone would like to see a healthy team. Nance was having a. Great year. I wanted to see him back as himself.

Once again Cavs are trending in the media for all the wrong reasons and are handling things “internally” with regards to Love’s meltdown. They sure have a way of keeping their name relevant.

joke of an organization.

You make it sound like it's their fault that one of their player's threw a tantrum on the court. And,what you expect them to do,throw Mr. Talc under the bus publicly.

I don't know.. the KPjr incident, the Love incidents (this isn't his first rodeo), the Dion/Kyrie crap, the stuff w/JR and soup (KP also threw soup.. it's kind of our thing), the Delonte stuff... since Embry left we've either been a sad-sack team or LeBron's team.

It has been a very shaky foundation.

It is nice to see Garland has improved drastically this year and Sexton taking into another level.

With Garland, we are seeing him to be more aggressive this year, more attempts from 3 (8 attempts this month with 42%) showing not he can just fly but able to make them with higher volume. But also to note his passing has been impressive. He is able to find the open man underneath and love the long bounce pass to Sexton, giving the big guys easy dunks, etc.

With Sexton, what is really important to notice is he is getting to the FT line this year. He never got really the calls the past 2 years but he is also being smart in ability to generate fouls and going to the FT line. From his rookie year at 3 FT attempts to now doubling at over 6 FT attempts per game (even 7 FT attempts in past 2 months). His defense has become better to be just ok. His scoring ability has improved so much this year and year by year he has improved.

I do not believe their ceilings are done and it is great to see both of our guards improved year to year.

I know they have a lot of injuries, but that's no excuse for the guys that are playing to lay down like a pack of whipped dogs. Disgraceful.

Things are starting to get interesting in Lottoland.

A big loss to Orlando put the Cavs only two games ahead of ORL, MIN and DET and they are now tied with OKC. With the way the Cavs are playing I think everything is a toss-up.

They could very easily end up with the second worst record. Or sixth. I think that they now may end up at fourth worst.

This has turned out to be a meaningful tank.

They are seeing some real development from Garland and Sexton. But are losing a lot of games because they can't keep people healthy.

Come next year I think they will see a huge leap from those two guys and in general.

This will be their last trip to the Lottery in a while.

I'm really proud of the tank job they are doing. losing all their games by 5-10 points takes a certain skill that only Love and Cedi can provide

Kpr incident ? He was in a car 60 miles from Cleve in the off season. That’s org’s fault. They knew there were red flags when they drafted him. It didn’t work out

KPJ to KLove: i got you bro, lemme make a scene bigger than your tantrum

both are big old nothing burgers that nobody will be talking about in a week.

Just thinking on a rainy day,,,,,
Did you know in the off-season we could -

Trade Sexton and Love
To Portland
For CJ McCollum

It works on the trade machine.
Now, am I crazy or what. Consider this,
Maybe the Blazers might come to the same conclusion as us, that it's time to break up the backcourt combo. The Blazers have been on a treadmill to nowhere for years.
Maybe Love, while burning bridges in Cleveland, can show the NBA that he can still play a role.
McCollum and Love go home.
McCollum already knows how to work with a dynamic PG.
Yes, McCollum is 29.
We get to keep our #1 pick and get somebody like Kuminga.
That would be a pretty strong team.
