2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Huge difference between embracing the tank in December or January, and embracing it when you're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
exactly.. sometimes there are no good options. This is one of those times.

This is a good time to take a long look at guys like Kabengele and Brodric Thomas playing against quality opponents in games that matter (to the opponents) in order to see if they can make a case for themselves being on the Cavs' roster next year. Also Dean Wade.
Dean Wade seems like a no brainer to keep around. He has the best efg on the team outside of our centers, has the best season +/- other than Hart, plays good team and individual defense, is a respectable rebounder, rarely turns the ball over, a very good passer, and appears to be a great teammate. He’s not a star, but given the makeup of our team, a low usage, low ego, low salary, productive player off the bench seems to fit our needs for at least another year.

Where are you looking at +/-?

basketball reference has him 9th among players currently on the team.

They just need his shooting. Anything else he can offer is great. This team needs spacing bad. Even if they draft a pf they prob need to hang on to Wade

I see the discrepancy.

The NBA.com numbers aren’t adjusted for minutes or pace.

Ex. Player A plays 30 minutes and is -4 factors in the same as Player B playing 3 minutes and being -4.

So biggest disappointment to this season outside of the record:
1. Losing KPjr to the Soup Nazi
2. Belmount Bomber bombing in an entirely different way than I had hoped.
3. Kevin Love, but is it a disappointment to meet my expectations?

disappointing dylan is probably the one for me. kpj's situation was already brewing even before the season started, but dylan just isn't as advertised, both on shooting and durability.

i'll also add cedi to that list. him becoming the nba's worst player is totally unexpected.

If we lose the rest of games, we will finish under .300 for the third straight year. That’s obviously a lot of very bad basketball. Next year we will have 4 lottery picks on the roster (not counting Love). They will still be young, but the 3 that are on the team currently will have logged a lot of NBA minutes. This organization really needs to show some marked improvement next year.

Dylan Windler being a total non-contributor was a blow.

I liked the way he moved around the court and rebounded the ball.

But..he was bad. He's not a good shooter, he can't stay healthy, and he has the yips.

The guy has no filter, lol....i mean he didnt say anything bad, but usually players are not this honest.

I cant believe I am going to say this, but good for him admitting that.
