So, Lakers-Dodgers championships again? And 'bama in NCAA football? Probably the Chiefs too? Sports are becoming way too predictable.

I like what the Dodgers are building over there. Great signing.

So much for "only signing 1 year deals"
Doesn't his friend get to shoot him with a paintball gun where the sun don't shine now? I assume he will use the opt outs as a scapegoat.

That contract:

Great news, now the Angels don't have to fire Callaway!

He's not opting out of $45m in 2022 with the Dodgers unless it's to sign a Cole-like $300m deal

That’s his choice, which is the point.

He signed for three one-year deals, and if he chooses to opt into a $45M deal next year, I’d say that’s a pretty big win for his bank account.

I don't see opt outs changing it from a 3 year deal to 3 one year deals.

Bigger question is which version of Bauer did they sign? The one with the increased spin rate out of no where 2020 version, or the previous version.

One more year than I expected. I was on one year with an insurance policy opt out year. Turns out it is 2 years with the insurance opt out. But with the looming CBA ... probably makes sense and Bauer is clearly no dummy.

Beat the Indians in arb several times and now drives the market past $40 million, He clearly has a good handle on player valuation at least from the union side. Suspect it will be awhile before that $40 mill barrier falls again given players/agents always looking for more years and more total dollars.

Soo - what is the difference between our current roster payroll and Bauer's 2021 salary?

Marcel Ozuna has resigned with the Atlanta Braves.. one more FA off the markets..

W/R to the Tribe 26 man payroll and Trevor Bauer.. about $ 9 MM more by the tribe..
