2020 NFL Draft Thread - Day 2

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Delpit please.

McKinney
Weaver

Do the Browns trade Njoku? Trade up? Trade down?

I hope the RB go on a run. Leave more prospect for the Browns to choose from.

I think the only scenario where they trade Njoku is if they draft a receiver.

Another mock that has McKinney falling to the Browns by Lance Zierlin.

33 Baun
34 Higgins
35 Blacklock
36 Davidson
37 Kmet
38 Jaylon Johnson
39 Swift
40 Gross-Matos
41 McKinney

74 Curtis Weaver

97 Gabriel Davis

I would be totally fine with that. Wasn’t the TE position heavily scouted by AB and co? I’m not sure Njoku is here long term anyway.

Adam Trautman? Devin Asiasi?

With multiple tight ends apparently so important in our scheme, as well as just having a #1 pass catching tight end, I see no reason we'd be looking to trade Njoku.

He's gonna play, and we can't afford to trash our entire offense if Hooper goes down.

If this draft class were strong at the TE position, I could see a possibility.

If McKinney falls to 41 he should absolutely be the pick. I can’t believe he hasn’t been picked yet

I only ask because TE was a position the Browns heavily scouted more than any other position, I believe. That made me not believe Njoku was here long term and AB could possibly be looking at his replacement in this draft.

If these mocks can be believed, we should have our pick of any safety available at 41 (McKinney, Delpit, or anyone else).

I think we'll draft one. I think we need 3 on the roster, and could use one that's a better blocker than Hooper/Njoku.

Do the Browns find themselves in the position where the BPA is a guard tonight?

For what it’s worth SI mocked Day 2 and many of us would be gruntled-

33 Cincy Gross-Matos
34 Indy Higgins
35 Detroit Blacklock
36 Giants Baun
37 Pats Kmet
38 Panthers Fulton
39 Miami Swift
40 Houston Uche
41 Cle McKinney

74 Cle Malik Harrison

97 Cle Duvernay

I am not sold on a day 2 WR, but if we go one, the fast deep type of WR is the type I want, so I would be happy with DuVernay.

On some days I see Malik as a stud lb in the NFL, other days I think he might get over matched....what is your guys thoughts?

Obviously if McKinney lasts to 10 in the 2nd that is a homerun pick....I doubt he lasts though.

We pick 9th in the second round (#41)

I don't like drafting themes of players. Just get the guy who looks better then the rest. At WR right now, that'd be Tee Higgins or Denzel Mims to my eye.

My personal preference is Delpit. I think he has the potential to be a great FS in the NFL.

Weaver is he an EDGE or slow LB? I am fearful he is a man without a position

Davis is typically the type of Big possession WR I like, but we really need that speed guy, the water bug type. The type we had nothing of 5 years ago, lol

I wonder what the reaction would be in Ann Arbor if the Lions spend their 2nd round pick on JK Dobbins??
Okudah & Dobbins starting their professional career in Detroit might be a perfect counter-argument to any HS kid considering to play for Harbaugh/ Xichigan
