2021 Around MLB: Return of the Dead Ball Era

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Use the name and just lean into it hard. Make your pic honey boo boo or some other child star.

That is even too much for me to be honest. Few lines i dont cross, and child molestation happens to be one of them. Call me old fashion, maybe because i have a teenage daughter...or just maybe its because i am not a piece of shit. lol

Yeah same for me unfortunately. I'm already in a big money league ($200 entry) that is going to consume all of my fantasy focus this year.

Will definitely do one next year if we can stir one up a bit earlier on.

Good for Francisco.. Cannot wait to see him and the Mets this year... I think that particular team is a perfect fit and I can’t wait to see how it meshes...

Cannot wait for Frankie’s first slump and the ignominious end to his honeymoon with NYC media and Mets fans. Insert popcorn snacking emoji.
They will melt at the first electric smile and subsequent hot streak. Frankie was made for NY, I'm only bummed that he didn't end up in the Bronx, he should be the true heir to Jeters throne. As it is, he will hopefully bring playoff baseball to the Mets and set them up for Jose to join them in a year or two.

Lindor is a really good player but he isn’t worth $340 million. But in this sport where money is basically irrelevant as long as you have it (no cap means no actual money management required) that doesn’t matter to the Mets. They locked up a good player and got him for an extra year for a bunch of middling prospects.

Huh? Are you on the right fan forum?

10 years, $341 million?

I guess he wouldn't consider giving the Indians a hometown discount of $200 million? There's just no loyalty anymore.

That's $227,000 per game for the next 10 years assuming he averages 150 games per year. Nice work if you can get it but if he hits .167 with RISP like last year he's going to be hearing it.

I mean, has anyone here never left a job for another job or opportunity which would pay more? I hate this attitude.

Cleveland was never going to pay him half the team's salary budget, and you wouldn't want that as a fan anyways. The amount of animosity it creates is insane, and for what amounts as a team sport, where clubs flourish as much on comradery as talent, it's best that CLE let him go (plus we received some nice talent in return), but to be mad at someone who is capitalizing on their talent? That's unruly.

The only part that bothers me is that he admitted to dogging it last season. The rest - I don't care. I'm not mad at him, he's not worth half that contract anyways. Good for him pimping himself out to a terrible organization :chuckle:
