2021 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You do realize the numbers you provided are by season and not by cumulative time in that level, right?

Either way the other post didnt have the correct numbers posted...

Jones by level... with more added info... was looking at the wrong column in terms of ABs vs plate appearances... nevertheless..

Rookie: 32 games, 134 PA, 23 BB, 49 K (37%)
A-: 62 games, 265 PA, 43 BB, 60 K (23%)
A: 90 games, 389 PA, 63 BB, 97 K (25%)
A+: 107 games, 454 PA, 91 BB, 119 K (26%)
AA: 49 games, 211 PA, 31 BB, 63 K (30%)
AAA: 48 games, 194 PA, 28 BB, 61 K (31%)
** Note, I rounded up or down to the nearest decimal

I will say, however, take a look at Bobby Bradley when we're talking about Nolan Jones..
2019 AAA: 34%
2019 MLB: 41%

2021 AAA: 33%
2021 MLB: 27%

Small sample sizes...good or bad...mean zip. A more accurate way of measuring improvement is to watch trend lines that even out hot and cold streaks.

A case in point...Aristedes Aquinas.

A fairly non descript prospect with a big power/poor contact (30 hit tool) profile who wasn't even listed among most Reds top 30 lists, he got a shot at age 25.

In his first month...103 at bats... he hit 14 home runs, hit .320, and put up a 1.158 OPS.

Nothing in his trend lines indicated anything like this.

He promptly returned to the rock he had been hiding under.

On the other side, we have our own Owen Miller....

I never get excited when a prospect/player has a month that defies his track record.

Thome had it right when he advised his critics to get back to him at the end of the season.

Is there anywhere to see the Tribe's ACL team stats other than digging through all the league stats on the ACL league website?

What do you guys think... Benson and Kwan will finish the season at AAA? Lavastida will finish the season at AA?

Players need to play in order to develop...
Your interested in moving those guys up, but whose spots are they taking??
Don't focus on 1 box score - look at a 2 week time period (to get a sense of how much time a person is getting)

Nolan Jones is not playing 3B in CLE so I would prefer he get more & more time in the OF in AAA.
An OF with Oscar/ Benson/ Kwan leave no space for those reps.

As others return from injury, some players in CLE will be sent away & others will be sent back to AAA.
That will impact the number of reps available as well (be honest - one of Mercado/ Zimmer/ Daniel Johnson will be playing in CBus once Eddie Rosario returns to health)

I'm personally leaning towards, moving Eddie and Zimmer... And putting Call back to AA or cutting/trading Marabell while calling up Kwan and Benson to AAA. Sounds harsh towards Call, but as an organization we need to see what Kwan and Benson can do since they are Rule 5 guys in the upper minors.

That would make our OFs essentially Jones, Oscar, Kwan, Benson with Call/Marabell. Then Brooks is mostly 1B filling in with the OF. Jones still get some 1B action as well. Krieger stays the super utility behind Miller and Chang staying utility guys.

FYI (from Indians Prospective)

Here is the DSL roster (Red team).. Opening day is around the corner.
