2021 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A little story on Benson from last weekend… albeit not an important story. With the new netting from foul pole to foul pole, it can sometimes be difficult to interact with fans/kids. It was about the middle of the game and a brother and sister have seats along the right field line in the first row. During the inning, they were yelling for Will to throw them a ball after a single. He motions to them that he noticed them. The following inning, just as warmup throws were being completed, he walks over to the netting, hands it to them between the net personally, and their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning. It was a really nice gesture on Will’s part.
He's always had 80 grade makeup. That's what made the bet on tools so prudent IMO. Tools + makeup = a chance worth taking.

So not surprising. But cool story. Waiting til my wild man gets a little bit older to take him to some of these minor league games. Couldn't get him to last an inning at this age.

Trenton Brooks did similar stuff for kids during an Akron game in Erie a few weeks ago. Gave several kids a ball when he grabbed a foul ball.

Miller and Chang, actually aren't bad at 1B, Clement I am sure could play there as well if needed... Brooks has only been a 1B all season and Marabell has been there part time as well...

I did joke about Zimmer being there cause of his height, can he field grounders? Lol
Zimmer gets to them slower because he has farther to go - its the flip side of him being among the first to know when its raining

Alex Call with two homers at AAA. Was surprised he got the callup over Gonzalez. Anybody think that the Indians FO believes in him?

Check out Nic Enright's stats. Subset - since joining Akron he has 8k and 0bb.

As June comes to a close, here are Nolan Jones's numbers over the last 38 games (he has played in 48 total):
.266/.391/.508 (.899 OPS)
27.2% K
14.6% BB

Noted shitty prospect Nolan Jones exits June with a .256/.369/.523 slash, with 12BB to 22K for the month.

K% = 21% for those scoring at home.
All kidding aside, do we expect to see Nolan up here before rosters expand in September? As of now, the only path for him to come up sooner than that time aside from additional injuries would be if Eddie Rosario is moved before the deadline. Platoon Nolan with Luplow in one of the corner spots (assuming Luplow returns by the beginning of August) and have Harold take the other corner outfield spot.

Jones strike out percentage by level:
Rookie: 45%
A-: 28%
A: 30%
A+: 33%
AA: 35%
AAA: 38%
