2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My "other" teams and why I root for them:

East: Knicks then Philly
West: Denver then Phoenix

Knicks: I've always had a soft spot for the Knicks. Starks was my favorite player for a few years and they just grew on me. The fact that they've been terrible for years helps. Also, that their terrible owner finally got out of his own way and this is the result, encourages me for us. I loved Oakley and Mason during those Riley years too.

Philly: I've wanted Doc to win since leaving Boston. Always wanted Doc to win more than Ainge. I read the Trust The Process book a few months ago and it reminded me how much I loved Embiid coming out. Philly is a city just like Cleveland in how they love their teams but they keep letting them down, so I'm pulling for them to get theirs and make the finals over Brooklyn or Milwaukee out of the favorites in the East.

Denver: Mike Malone. Always loved the guy. Should have replaced Mike Brown. He got a raw deal in Sacramento and for good measure, he just goes to the next city and effectively does the same thing. They are due, unfortunate what happened with Jamal Murray but wouldnt that make it even better if they somehow went all the way anyway? Love Jokic's uniqueness. Love the way Denver has built their team up and love that they took chances this deadline and pushed all their chips in anyway.

Phoenix: I want CP3 to get his. I love Champ and Monty Williams deserves everything coming his way after the loss of his wife and how he was done dirty in NOLA. He paid his dues. If not Mike Malone, I really want Monty Williams to get to the Finals.
Great choices. I like all four teams. Phoenix especially because they were SOOOOOOOOO bad and then messed around and didn't pick Luka.

And the Knicks is the feel-good basketball story of the year. Like Phoenix but Dolan actively rigs that team to suck nowadays. And then acts like a tyrant when fans get bold enough to talk about it. It's hilarious this is happening in a year where the Nets moved to Brooklyn specifically to set up a team like the one they have now, and are favored to take the East.

Andre Drummond as we thought is damn near unplayable in a meaningful game. There was a play where Bron was driving and Drummond was just in the paint in his way and I was like oh hes getting benched
He should be benched for the rest of the playoffs (if the Lakers don't fuck it up tonight). He has shown no difference from his time with the Cavs, even on an objectively better team.

That Steph 3 was so casual lol

This Warriors team plays hard and so smart

Aye man,

The Warriors are contenders next year.

Bron faking it lolololololololololol

There's too much fucking flopping man

When it comes down to LeBron vs. Braymond/Steph, I'm always picking LeBron. And damn what a 3 to win that game.
Braymond should have gotten Sexton'd off the foul and the constant yapping at the refs. One game reminded me how much I detest that team.

And Klay could have his Durant Tour next season. UGH.
Let the Cavs have someone elite from this draft, please.

Pitiful acting job from LeBron after the Draymond foul, rolling around on the ground like his career was over... Tried his best to sell the flagrant but I’m glad it stayed as a common foul. At some point the league has to stop rewarding flopping/acting.

Game was good but man was that 2nd half brutal by GS. So many lazy TOs. Steph is so fucking good. LeBron is better. AD seems like a shell of his former self.

Lebron does that a lot so he can get some rest before shooting FTs.

So clutch of Lebron. Still love him.

As much as a great player Curry is, I will never like him and never like the new thread about Curry.:chuckle:

The writhing around on the ground was definitely a bit much, but LeBron definitely did get jabbed in the eye and it certainly affected his vision. It looked red afterwards.

Funny how Draymond Green is always at the center of these things...

And GSW are about to get Minnesota’s pick too. Warriors won that trade.
