Does that go towards team revenue?
I have no idea(hope so) but I’m out in Southern California so going to games in Cleveland isn’t much it an option for me.

They just traded by far their best reliever, their closer, for a back of the rotation piece who may get better and a middling reliever in a year where they are trying to compete as their best offseason acquisition is potentially only on a 1 year deal. And they traded him on Opening Day.

Their pitching, as a whole, just got worse. And it was already bad.

I get what you are saying, but maybe they had a backup plan for Rogers and needed Paddack more? I mean it doesn't make a ton of sense for the Twins, but at the moment they didn't have a 5th starter since Dobnak went down... I feel fangraphs overrated their starting staff some as well, but hopefully I am wrong with my hunch and you are right since it would make Cleveland's season a bit better...

So, we traded Zimmer in a salary dump...lol.

And got a real live reliever with an option in the deal.

Toronto has been looking for lefty OFs for a while. Kind of funny they settled for Zimmer but seems like we did get a live arm back for him so I like it.

They have been pretty good at developing bats so maybe he'll do better there. He looked totally lost this year in ST though.

He actually breathes air and has a very good arm. Can you believe it? For Zimmer?
One more pitcher for the 40 man.. one less position player.. we're going in the right direction.. GOOD GRIEF !!..

I wish Zimmer all the best but it's a little disheartening that the great Zimmer/Frazier debate ended up being lose-lose in the end.

We just missed on a bunch of OFs through the draft and that happens, hence why we changed up our strategy the last few years with the bats and its seemed to work out so far.

We lack depth with the bullpen on paper, so no qualms with this move at the end of the day...

So what’s the scouting report on Castro?

High K rate...high GB rate...throws 93-95.

Originally a starter, but hasn't been able to develop his secondary stuff, which puts him in the pen.

we have more than enough depth on paper and IRL...

So what’s the scouting report on Castro?

That's the newest one I can find... he has a plus fastball-slider combo, but has some command issues... he has mostly been a starter in the minors, but is likely a reliever in the pros... if he can get a better command and mix in a third pitch he should be at least an effective reliever...

I'm not so sure he'll be relegated to the BP. If we need another BP arm then we already have one that's better suited for the role even though he'd have to be added to the 40 man.

Might want to call the Phillies and offer Mercado as Moniak is now injured.

Moniak was finally showing some of that 1-1 talent too.. sad for the kid.. Maybe the Cubs will send Frazier back to the NorthCoast.. they can use an OF'er that can actually play CF.. like Mercado?

He has performed better as a starter and has the stuff to be very effective which is evident in his SO rates. His issue is control and he has an option or options. Can't help but wonder if there isn't going to be some room created on the 28 man roster soon.
