2022 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So, how long does it take for Nebraska to hand Rhule the bag? Seems like he’d be a great fit there and would help improve the profile of the conference. Hee Ed shocked as an NFL coach, but I think he has the ability to turn Nebraska around.

He's kinda coached everywhere so I don't know if he has a geographical preference. He's coached Big Ten, Mac, P12 and B12.

If you assume Wisky stays with Jim Leonard, Nebraska is definitely the best open job right now. But Auburn will probably be open, and then if a coach does something unexpected, some other big jobs will open.

I’ll sound like some sort of individual who isn’t progressive but I really liked the geographical component of college football; I understand the need for the changes and how things are evolving but it’s kind of a bummer for me.

Money kills tradition. For the sport to remain regional with rich rivalries (say that 5 times fast) we'd have to shift away from playoff expansion and multi-billion dollar TV deals, which ain't happening.

Unless you root for a major program that is always in the mix nationally, the sport is getting worse. As an Ohio State fan, I can live with it but it does suck and I wish it could be stopped. The Backyard Brawl this season was amazing and I'm sure both fanbases would love to make it annual again but money said no. Bedlam will be dead soon too.

When you face a football team for the first time

Man I hate that 3rd down call by Penn State. Or I guess I think Clifford needed to audible.

Michigan completely sold out there on the run. Zero safety help. Completely 1on1 on the outside. Throw it.

Penn State is not calling a good game early.

Their defense has been in the field a TON this 1st quarter and has managed to not break.

But if their offense is just gonna come out and go 3 and out like this it's just a matter of time.

Hell of a slate of games today with OSU off. Plus the Guardians.

Well, early on the big difference is the offensive play-calling for Michigan trusts McCarthy to make plays way more than Penn State trusts Clifford.

That's partly on the coaching for Penn State. They aren't gonna win with this conservative playbook.

but it's also on the talent level of the two players. McCarthy just way better.

War…… the lady at Kroger with a very expensive looking “Michigan National Champions” jacket.

Sean Clifford got wheels?

Pedsters need 6 here.

I don’t see anything about either team here that makes me think OSU won’t handle them.

Oh my God. Michigan has completely dominated, but Penn State has made 2 plays and is up 14-13. Unreal. Hilarious.
