2022 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wish I could be paid that much money to be that blatantly wrong at my job.
Once Skip Bayless open the floodgates, troll punditry pays.

The more disturbing part to me is that people must like watching it, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many copycats.

Nebraskas inability to win 1 score games is just baffling.

I thought Scott Frost would have Bill Callahan level success at Nebraska when he was hired, with occasional B1G West challenges to Bucky and Iowa... couldn't have been more wrong. Amazing how poorly his tenure has played out.

Nebraska has the hardest road to recovering their Blue Blood status IMO. No idea where they go from here and another, more advantaged challenger has entered the fray in the B1G.

While I'd like to see them become good again, can't say it bothers me this year since we finally don't play them this year.

I'm sure this will end well, lol
Their non conference schedule will be as competitive as nfl preseason so might as well treat it like preseason.

Saban is a great coach who runs a great program, but the sport itself that lends to his dominance. The best teams attract the best recruits and make the most money to improve their facilities. There is less of a level playing field.

Of course, it’s the same reason Ohio State can be so dominant within our conference, so to hate on Saban would just be jealousy that we aren’t the top dog program.

Right - at the same time, just take Ohio State as an example. National brand, recruits close to as well as Bama on paper, plays in a weaker conference. You’d think they’d be loaded up on national titles too right?

Nah. One in the last 15 years. Compared to Saban’s how many at bumfuck Alabama? :chuckle:

It’s just hard not to tip your cap.

I would rather they have a Florida school.

Miami would be an interesting add. They can keep Florida (who isn’t leaving the ess eee see) and FSU.

I’m still trying to keep potential adds as more Midwest but I know we’re getting away from that a bit.

And don't forget Big 10 places a huge value on AAU membership, which Florida only has one university as a member. UofF.

Miami has been a hot mess for twenty years, plus they hardly have the fan support like UF and FSU. Hard pass on them.
