2022 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Realistically, they'd probably just play with Hudson or Hance at RT.
I feel if this is their plan for RT, then the team is unintentionally punting the season. Baker needs elite tackles to be comfortable in the pocket or we get bad Baker. Bad Baker is a lost season.

Getting a long-term fix at RT is also thinking about the future. Conklin's injuries and time missed are piling up. Whether they are freak accidents or not, it doesn't particularly matter with the current stakes imo. I don't think it's wise to continue depending on him.

Well, you can officially put Olave and Wilson at 1-2 now.

I'm not against getting him if he falls into round 2/3.. it's a gamble in a sense, but hell long term that should make one heck of a core...

I am honestly leaning between best DLine available and a WR at 13...

@Randolphkeys and @AZ_ as well

How is the DLine in this class? Sorry I haven't read through a lot yet, but is there anyone you think would be worth getting at 13 from DE/DT? I feel like that is a weakness going into the off season with so many free agents on the DLine...

My buddy suggested cutting Conklin, moving Wills to RT and draft a LT... I really don't think that's a smart move since we have needs on the DLine and WR, but getting Tretter and Conklin essential heir soon would be smart to cut down on the cost while keeping up the talent level...

If NPF falls (for some reason) to the point of thr second I go full JOK and move up for him. Wills needs an off-season for that ankle. I’d keep him on the left, play NPF on the right if applicable until the return of Conklin then part ways after the season. It’s too specific to fall into place but we do need to secure the right end.

Pretty strong iDL class (massive improvement from last year), but you’re getting a drop off from first round guys. Heavy on rotational guys, and a few mid round early down guys. Leal is one of the few players at 13 that would make me consider passing on a WR.

I think the EDGE class is somewhat strong, but not for traditional 4-3 ends after the top guys go. I really like Cameron Thomas and Sam Williams as second round guys, but you’re probably getting situational players for both. Williams is a freak, might blow up for the extra year. Has some off field issues though.

I’m adamant that if you watch Hutchinson and Cameron Thomas you will see an incredibly similar player. The difference is Cameron Thomas is probably 2/3 and Hutchinson is going top three. Thomas is my favorite end in this class by a pretty large margin because he was an iDL who transferred to the DE spot because of his speed and physicality. Just terrific junior year tape.

Olave is obviously talented, but he strikes me as a jack of all trades, master of none. Wilson is going to be the better pro receiver imo.

Taking Olave over Wilson would be, to me, like taking Jeudy over Lamb in 2020. Jeudy was a great prospect and a super polished route guy, but Lamb was just an obvious stud.

Seems like the Browns may be more comfortable with developing James Hudson as a future starter at tackle than perhaps you think.

He got baptized by Watt certainly, but otherwise he held up pretty well in pass protection against the Ravens and Bengals late in the year. He was awesome against Cincinnati specifically, albeit against mostly backups.

feel like we are in no mans at 13. 6 to 8 elite prospects in this draft. Trading down from 13 to 20s is gonna get u same level of player or we gonna have to trade up. But I wouldn't be surprised if there is a QB we love that we take him.

The more I watch Wilson, the less I like him. He’s twitchy as all hell, but he runs sloppy routes, and I just don’t trust him to out athletic pro corners. And he won’t be running go and post against unathletic big 10 safetys.

As it stands, of the frequently discussed top guys, Wilson would easily be the one I’d be most upset about. I don’t think he’s on the same planet as Olave, who I think is equally athletic, but from day one will run routes and track balls at an elite level.

I think Wilson’s early success is going to come in space on screens/bubbles, and in motion to creat advantages. You’d hope with his athleticism that he could be an X, but I’m guessing his measurements aren’t going to be much different than Jahan Dotson, and he’s going to struggle on the outside against corners who are just as big and fast as he is until he drastically improves his footwork. He had a really terrific in route against Oregon, but it’s a route that he’d never even be able to run in the NFL because of how long it took to break.

Burks is your standard X- he’s going to be big and fast and out run corners deep when they can’t press him. Make no mistakes; he is not a slot guy, and he is not a flanker.

I think Olave is both athletic, and good enough at a route tree to play all three WR positions. IMO, if you’re trying to draft your “number one”, I overvalue the athleticism and route ability to play from all three much more than the ability to play in space.

Massively disagree.

I think there are four locks in the top 5/6- Hutchinson, Hamilton, KT, and Stingley.

Realistically, that means we “pick” 9th.

I’d expect Neal, Cross, and Ekwonu to go top 12.

That leaves six spots before us 13th in this draft is totally okay. I’d be utterly shocked for all four top WR to be gone, and if they are, the Browns got someone shoved in their lap hat shouldn’t have been there.

Also if I could bet on who teams will pick, Jordan Davis and the fucking Ravens.

I’m starting to lean more towards Olave than Wilson as well the more I watch film of both. Olave is so fluid and runs excellent routes. We have all complained about lacking that deep threat well Olave will give you that and more. If used right Olave could be elite in this league

Ugh...seeing Olave go to the Chiefs would be such a disappointment to me. Almost like Dobbins going to the Ravens.
