2022 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
NFL Mock Draft 4.0: Thibodeaux to Jags, Hutchinson to Lions

Tell me the line that you can tell that Jason McIntyre has no clue what he is talking about...
You don't agree that Higgins was an "outside burner"? lol

Massively disagree.

I think there are four locks in the top 5/6- Hutchinson, Hamilton, KT, and Stingley.

Realistically, that means we “pick” 9th.

I’d expect Neal, Cross, and Ekwonu to go top 12.

That leaves six spots before us 13th in this draft is totally okay. I’d be utterly shocked for all four top WR to be gone, and if they are, the Browns got someone shoved in their lap hat shouldn’t have been there.

Also if I could bet on who teams will pick, Jordan Davis and the fucking Ravens.
ur 4 plus Neal, Cross, and Ekwonu.

that's 7 elite players. Everything else is bout the same.

I really don't expect any of the WR gone by 13 and at most 1. They are not elite. U trade down to the 20s and Olave and Wilson gone ur gonna have a choice of Williams(injured), London, Burks, Bell or Pickens. I really like Dotson from PSU. He might be a inch or 2 shorter then Olave and Wilson but I think he has more wiggle and catches in traffic better. I'll take any of those 5/6 and a 2nd round over Olave and Wilson.

At CB u got McDuffie, Elam, Booth, Gardner, Clark and Jobe. None of these are a Ward type of player. Value there for 10 to 15 but we dont need a CB.

At LB you got Dean, Enagbare, Ojabo, and the Lloyd. Berry isn't taking a LB at 13 when he can get one of the in the 30s.

I love Linderbaum at C but ur not taking him at 13.

The 2nd level of OT is pretty good with 3 or 4 guys but again not at 13.
The 2nd level of DE is pretty good with 3 or 4 guys but again not at 13.

DT u got Davis which I think is great value at 13.

So I just think ur confused. Berry believes in Value of picks and position. Teams are gonna want to move up to get a QB, CB, Davis or one of those LBs all things Berry doesn't value or doesn't need. But in the 20s with another 2nd then Linderbaum, one of the WR, one of the LB, or we take a 2nd level DE/OT.

13-Wilson WR
44-Enagbare LB
or
20-Lloyd LB
44-Dotson WR
60-Mathis DT or Lucas OT

I like the 2nd option a lot better.

My man, if you go back a few pages you’ll see Im one of the few that’s very willing to go defense over a WR. Lloyd, Leal. I’ve mentioned it a few times.

I’m more so confused how you went from picking 13th in this draft wasn’t ideal to showing how ideal it actually is.

Miami gave up #12, a 2021 4th, and their 2022 1st to move up from 12 to 6 last year.

It would probably cost similar/a bit more for the Browns to move up from 13 to 5 + I doubt Evan Neal is still even on the board then

Hard pass on trading up in this draft
I generally agree with you, unless this OL is Quentin Nelson level good. I might do it for that. Idk anything about him though, is he on that level?

no clue what ur saying

I'm a no on a WR with our 1st round pick. I'd rather use that pick on a DT or use it to upgrade the QB position. I'm comfortable with AB finding a WR outside of the 1st round and/or acquiring a WR via trade or FA.

Same here.

I'm just not intrigued whatsoever by any of the QBs in this draft and would avoid them all... This is shaping up to be reminiscent of the 2013 QB class with EJ Manuel, Mike Glennon, Geno Smith, Matt Barkley and Ryan Nassib..

The Browns are in a win now mode, and any of these QBs look like patience is going to be required... I don't see the Browns being in a mode of sitting a high QB pick next year and then realistically wanting a non-experienced QB to play the following year..

DL is the focus for me in the 1st round, especially with the current state of the defensive line..

Call me crazy: I like Wilson but not sure he's elite-elite and to be considered a top-15 pick and over a positional need like DL... Not saying I'd be totally upset but I'd much rather take a DL, try for a WR in the 2nd...

Some early draft takes:

1. Tyler Linderbaum is a legitimate Top 15 player, and should be considered at 13th overall by this team if Tretter winds up elsewhere as a UFA.

2. Charles Cross is my top LT on the board, ahead of Ekwonu and Neal. He's likely going to be the top overall player on my board if he's available at 13. Immediate plug and play, future All-Pro talent IMO.

3. At this point, I'm a 'pass' on interior DL in the Top 15. Jordan Davis is likely the only behemoth who can turn me around on this view between now and April, based on his athletic testing (if he chooses to participate).

4. I haven't worked through the WR crop, but there is talent and scheme fits EVERYWHERE. A few guys at the top who I believe are scheme independent (Wilson, Dotson). Drake London has the best combination of size and ball skills to enter the league since Mike Evans.

5. The group of EDGE players in this draft speaks to the growth of the role of pass rushers over the last few years and how nuanced the position has become. Seems like the depth of talent is as large as we've ever seen, and there is ample opportunity to go find a guy with bend who can attack the QB with a variety of moves. Behind Hutchinson and Thibodeaux there are so many athletes who are going to perform very well without pads.

Plug and play for us or another team?

I only know of Jordan Davis because of his spotlight being at Georgia. He looks like a really good player and an outstanding young man. How good is he and can he fit right in on our DL?

I wouldn't pass on him.

Cross and Wills as book ends makes this unit even more elite and sustainable for the future.

I'm not certain that this front office would take Jordan Davis. They typically skew with younger prospects in the 1st round and Davis, while not an old prospect, doesn't align in that window. And the rest of the iDL class looks bad at 13.

I do think EDGE is possible at 13, depending on Clowney. Otherwise, no reason to pass on a WR.

I’m still very in on Leal. I think he’s wildly impressive, 3 down iDL.

I go back to drop offs. The difference between Leal/Davis versus the gaps between the WRs in round one v two is really shaky. I like a lot of second and third round ends (praying Cameron Thomas into the picture), I like a lot of the 2/3 receivers. I think Leal and Davis are wildly better in comparison to what would be left. After those two, I think you’re just drafting more Elliot/Togai.
