Brennan moves to Columbus; will a player be promoted to Cleveland soon?
Too many empty chambers in that lineup.

Depends on what they decide to do with Chang. He last played 12th in Col and 20th in Cle .... (1 time in 2 weeks now)

They may as well just promote Palacios (or Oscar) and let him have 13th spot. But, for all Oscar fans, he is hitting .247/.278/.400 in May and in 1-19 slump ... guess pitching is starting to expose him recently. And, for Palacios, they are content with Rosario in LF against righties until they find a trade partner (hopefully ASAP) to let Palacios have LF instead....

A lot of moving parts ... but no one other to promote at AAA as Tyler still needs some seasoning .... hitting .266 after first 2 games ... and then what to do with Miller?

Didn't Tito once say he (DJ) played like the best guy in the OF during ST one year? Guess with Allen, Martin, Bauers, .... it didn't mean much.

He was the best player on the field ST of 2019 and what little of 2020 there was, not just the the best OF. Anyone at those camps those years would probably tell you the same thing.

Mistake was not having him make either of those teams out of ST, he wasn’t the same after that mentally. A lesson they learned with Kwan this season.

With Jet and Alford gone from AAA, Brennan just gets a much deserved promotion. I personally don't see a change at the MLB level yet.

Here soon I think they will look at making some changes and I think things would have been different if Freeman, Jones etc were healthy.

Looking at AAA, the offense hasn't been all that strong. OGonz has cooled off some lately and outside of a couple players like Tolman and Benson, there hasn't been much production. If they are going to make a change, it will be like a Straw trade over the internal move in my mind.

This is @BimboColesHair since I have some questions about Tolman and Benson...

Could you see either guy getting a promotion this season? Tolman is saying bring me up stats wise and Benson I don't think has ever had a better stretch than his first 40 games this season.

Also do you think Benson is showing something legit right now/is able to produce some in the bigs?

If anyone has updates on the following I'd appreciate them

1. Nolan Jones -
2. Daniel Espino -
3. Josh Wolf - I believe he was throwing to live batters in AZ earlier this month.

Time to move Joey Cantillo up. 7 KS in 5 scoreless innings . Era 1.91
Cantillo was definitely on tonight (5/26/22) vs New Hampshire.
I'd like to see Cantillo pitch more than 5 IP in an appearance before he gets moved up. THB I have to wonder if the weather and on/off showers played into the decision to remove him from the game tonight.

I would prefer to see Cantillo be able to go 6+IP/ 85 pitches in an appearance before he gets promoted. So far this season he has gone 5 IP only twice & over 80 pitches in a single appearance so far..

I'm not convinced that pitching in Columbus is more challenging than pitching in Akron TBH. Either way, Joey is mowin' them down and rightfully garnering some attention.

Keep in mind that Huntington Bank in Columbus favors the hitters while Canal Park in Akron favors the pitchers...
I do agree that Cantillo is having a very good year so far as he bounces back from injury in 2021...

I fully understand that, but when it comes to talent the AA level is loaded. The things that Joey needs to work on can probably be done just as effectively in Akron as it could be in Columbus. That was my point. I'm not suggesting he should skip AAA either, but it's not impossible if they wanted to do that. With the current SP depth I'm not sure why they would.

Also, while the AAA parks are smaller and allow for more HR, the AA parks are much larger and more difficult to defend.

Edited to say that when Espino and Burns find their way back, that might be the time to promote Joey..........maybe.

Looking at the Columbus, Akron and LC starting staffs there are some guys looking ready for promotions. I just don't know how the pieces fit.

In Columbus, I'm sure that McCarty, Scott, and Tully are kind of expendable or at the bottom of the pecking list. I'd guess the main 3 in Columbus right now are Battenfield, Pilkington(when/if he's sent back down), and Myers. Point is, we have some room to work with in Columbus.

Akron is a different story altogether. When Espino and Burns return from the IL the list will consist of Espino, Cantillo, Allen, Curry, Burns and Gaddis. How in the Hell are they going to squeeze Williams and Bibee into that? Would they possibly promote Cantillo and Gaddis to Columbus? Every damn one of these guys is pitching well. I've never seen anything like this to be honest.

McCarty is on the 40 man, plus he is a lefty like Scott and Tully which this organization isn't very deep on. I think they are a bit higher on the order than you believe (they are though depth pieces in the end).

We have other guys with less talent in my mind between AA and AAA that we could move on from than the three you pointed out.

Just think, Morris is injured as well, then we let go of Moss and Hillman in the off season. We have a good problem to have, now the question is, how do these pieces all fit. We have the resources to make a move without a doubt.
