Back by request (if not popular demand) we have the return of the weekly minor league games thread. Here fans can comment and update on the minor league games being played during the week and thereby remove some of the 'clutter' that happens in the minor league team threads.

New weekly threads will generally go up on Monday evenings to set the table (since the 4 full season teams are generally off each Monday)...
After that other posters can update with daily lineups, pitching match-ups, game updates etc.
Feel free to look at many of the threads housed here to see how it went last year..

One request: keep these threads focused on the minor league players and games. There are plenty of other places to discuss/ comment/ grip about the major league team, the front office, Tito and how things are being done/ going in the majors. Allow these threads to be a haven for minor league talk & discussion...

Now, after a slow start going a combined 6-9 where all of the CLE affiliates were on the road, each club returns home for some home cooking and cheering home crowds.
Now onto the Week 2 games:

AA: Akron (1-2) hosts Reading (1-2, Philadelphia affiliate)
High A: Lake County (2-1) hosts Dayton (2-1, Cinci affiliate)
Low A: Lynchburg (0-3) hosts Delmarva (1-2, Baltimore affiliate)

Columbus and Akron have a "Pair of Aces" going.. at least you can dream on them..

Been watching Guard on TV and Clippers on computer. It’s going to be hard to keep Arias down. He is now hitting .352 ... grounded out for sacrifice to score Palacios (who tripled right over first) in the first. But, pitch before just missed foul from HR or off the wall in right. Then next up, he doubles off left center.

Battenfield has pitched okay ... no runs now in 4th but has had a few long fly outs including 1 at the wall and a double off the wall.

Óscar seems to be back to old self and trying to kill the ball with runners on.

Palacios has been pretty good out the gate too.

Anyone at LC tonight ??? Bibee “the Bieber” had 8ks in 4 innings and 2 hits with no walks. He was just 5th round pick last year ...

Gaddis is also strong in Akron 5 inn shutout ball with 6 Ks, 2 hits and 1 walk

Beat me to it :)

Naylor just doubled in a run for Columbus

His movement looked a lot better... Brace is off and the limp really isnt there like it was a weekish ago... I expect him to be activated for Cleveland's opening day...

Almost all the pitchers who went for the minors did well for us today...

The only one who didn't was Jake Miller, who made his debut today in pro ball. He gave up 6 in the first inning, but then went 3 scoreless. I like to see that recovery at the end of the day...
