Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Don't think we will see Gaddis again tonight - one BB away from being perfect.

6IP 0H 0R/ER 1BB 10K.... 89 pitches 56 strikes.. Akron up 9-0

Valera is now 3-3 1-1B 2-HR (1GS) 1BB and 5 RBIs.

Excellent job young men!!!!

Valera had a single???? that banjo hitter !

I was listening for a few innings while doing yard work but never heard velocity. Anyone know where Gaddis’ fastball was sitting?

Even though it was a stocked article ready to go after a big game with a few game highlights, find it funny that after a near perfect 6 innings by gaddis, milb writes about valera, who as bimbo pointed out is heating up with the weather.

For those watching Columbus and Iowa this week, see how Iowa is pitching Oscar this series. That big 10 inning at end of last week where he had the game winning sacrifice fly, he was thrown 2 big breaking pitches that he missed as the pitch had hard downward breaks from letters to knees. The one that he hit stayed up so he elevated the ball for sac fly.

This series, he is 2-13 so far. I notice that he looks off balance at times as he is reaching for offspeed breaking pitches and just rolling over on them but they are also jamming him inside. It reminded me of watching an 8 year old's hitting lesson this week (next to my daughter's lesson). The owner asked the righty kid how many balls did he hit to right field? He gave him a hard time because he didn't do any. Owner pointed out that the pitcher didnt just not throw any outside pitches but the kid didnt wait to drive it oppo field. He put towel down diagonally and showed the kid where he should make contact based on where ball is (inside - way in front and outside - let it travel to plate ands take it oppo). Kind of reminds me of Oscar problem ... needing to lean forward just to make contract on slow outside pitch but then gets jammed inside on heater because he didnt get hands in front of body in time.

this is where mlb pitchers will know how to do more damage on him as they wont miss in middle of plate where his swing has room for mistakes in his mechanics and hits for power and average. if he wont take walk, they will pitch right on or just off plate better than AAA to get him to chase.

still like him to get a chance but lets not think he is our power righty savior, just yet.

sorry was going to post video if of his ABs but I broke my finger making it even hard to type 1 handed let alone edit video.

Heads up!!!!
Jhonkensey Noel is getting the start in RF today for LC....
That is an interesting development....

Not if you’ve been on this forum for the last 7 months…
@BimboColesHair
You know I have been on these boards regularly for the past few years..

Us fans talking about it and it actually happening are 2 different things....
I am for the versatility & I felt Noel played too much at 3B this year.

If he continues to rotate between 1B-RF-DH, I would be ok with the plan...
