Funny thing is, I was also at the ALCS game against Baltimore in ‘97 when we won 1-0 in 11 innings.
This is more Tony Peña than Tony Fernandez but cool you were there

My parents were at the Peña game, and upon further research, I was at game 4 of the ALCS in 97, not 6.This is more Tony Peña than Tony Fernandez but cool you were there
Too Cool !!!
Agreed, but experience is overrated. Insert Jake Taylor gif.The value of the experience these kids are getting and will get as the post season continues can't be measured, but will pay dividends down the road.
Until this week the only player with much playoff experience was JRam. Amed and Naylor had played two games. Hedges had one pinch hit at bat. Maile had two.
Bieber had made one start. TMac and Quantrill had one relief appearance each.

My bad, I was 9. My memory is hazy. I just knew we won on a walk-off

It had all the excitement of someone tying a cinder-block to your ball-sac and threatening to throw the cinder-block off a rooftop. Then, after 14.5 innings, that someone gently untied the cinder-block and gave you your ball-sac back.Wooooo
You fuckers are awesome! May need to go hiking a lot more. Looks like I missed an amazingly exciting game
“Albert Belle biceps game”? Refresh my memory. My freshman year college roommate and I were in the stands for the Tony Peña game, also known as the Albert Belle biceps game.
Shirts off shouting in the cold October rain all extra innings. Best baseball game I've attended.
