A few thoughts...
1) Velo is usually lower in April-May than it is later. In a typical year, we would still be in ST. I'm not worried at all about Civales ( or anybodys) velo right now. Check back on Memorial Day.
2) in terms of what to expect going forward offensively, this series means nothing, as did the one before, and the one before that. See the above.
3) With an extremely young team, expect to see very high highs and very low lows. Consistency is not the mark of a young team. Esp when seemingly half the team is playing a different position every day.
Immediate reactions, good or bad, are always wrong.
4) We won't ever see what kids like Gimenez can ever do, if they aren't allowed to play every day without being platoon.
5) Why are Bradley and Chang still here?
6) It didn't take long for the word to get out about Kwan. Throw strikes on first pitches and shift towards his GB tendencies. But he has the bat control and swing plane to adjust fairly quickly.
7) Not sure about Mercado. He's not a power guy, but thats all he's shown so far.
