2022 Season| Series #41 | Orioles @ Guardians | Aug. 30 - Sep. 1, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team has done this multiple times over the season, a season which seems to go in patterns of offensive performance, and all of a sudden they are "choking under playoff race pressure". :chuckle:

Give me a break. This is what happens when your offense doesn't hit a lot of home runs or draw a ton of walks and relies on balls put in play finding holes or grass. The hits go away and runs are hard to find or string together.

It won't last though. Just like it hasn't lasted any of the previous 5 or 6 times they've had stretches like this earlier in the season.

Some of you have the attention span of a gnat. Either that or you get off on bad, reactionary takes (highly likely).
Sure but there really isn’t playoffs pressure back in April or May. So this is new territory for a very young team. We’ll see how you they respond this weekend. Contrary to what some posters believe, I really do want the Guardians to succeed. But you should not turn a blind eye to questionable managerial decisions and the pressure incumbent upon leading a division race heading into September.

OK boomer.

(I had to).

I don't think the managerial decisions are as bad as you think though... Francona normally has a reason for his decisions and if he doesn't, it's because he decides to go with his gut in a sense. It's super easy to complain in hindsight and I am not saying he is perfect, but there is a reason why we are keyboard warriors and Francona is the manager lol

Fair point.

Okay Millenial! You are the reason that we cannot have nice things! (LOL well I guess I am apart of that problem too)

Honestly though, let's see how they recover from these games. I think we all know this team is going to be a monster on paper once they develop and its a bit soon for that to happen, but how they handle the roller coaster of this season, I think will really shape the mental side of things going forward.

Think I'd rather be a mid 40s year "old man" who whines about not scoring runs during a playoff chase. Especially when that team hasn't won a World Series in 74 years.... Maybe that what keeps the fan mass from full committing?? IDK

Anyway I'll be an old man, always ready to share my own thoughts/opinions. It's preferable to being a bootlicking yes-man lackey IMO.

Score some runs, don't make mistakes and we may still win one of the weakest divisions in baseball in recent history. At least that is how I see it.

Tell these fools, Bimbo.

When Tito trots out Clement, Miller and Straw in the same lineup against Robbie Ray on Saturday, so many forum-dwellers will have crow delivered to their miserable shantytowns after that slugging triumvirate sends Ray to the showers.

Can anyone explain why Tyler Freeman isn't getting any ABs?

It would funny if they all get HRs that day lol
