Depending on the length offered of course, I'd be more than happy to take the bet on his contract being 9 figures. If Lindor cashed $350, then Amed would slaughter 100 million. He's an upgrade at ss for 2/3 of all major league teams.
I would say $100 from your bet below on if he is here at year-end (which I wouldn't do) but $100 mill figure ... sure. But, just passing by today before I take off for another break. Just knew someone would post the 86th rank for Rosario. Yet, it would be like taking candy from a baby if you even believe that he improves 2/3rds of the teams ... He would only improve Det in our Conference (I would take Anderson, just as I think his OBP, OPS+ and dWar are a bit better but know why others would argue against.).
NYY, BOS, ATL, ARZ, Dodgers, Angels are my first pass at top 15 teams looking to spend and trade that he could improve (for at least this year till their prospects are ready).
If you just look at FG - Steamer -- he is 17 and behind Gimenez and Hoerner (moving to 2nd) but ahead of Cruz-Pitt and Anderson. So it feels about right AVERAGE .... Like I said, I can see 5 for $75. But, I would also trade Rosario for Volpe, Neto, Mayer, De La Cruz-Reds, Cruz, Tovar and Luciano straight-up plus give them others like Tena or even Allen for some - and that is even if Rosario signs a 5-year $50 million contract as Ramirez will make up the difference to his buddy to keep him here.
Coming in at a cool #85 in the CBS top 100 MLB players is……Amed Rosario.
It actually seemed half-way reasonable at first glance figuring that they under-valued some younger guys like McK and being between Torres and Diaz (who signed 3-year 8 million per ... vs Bell 2-year $16.5 million per but he is not on the list). But, it started to be the proverbial wipe your ass in the old days for the paper it is written on when Swanson is 99th ??? Guy who is GG, All-star and few MVP votes is that far down ... please. And, Anderson is 74....
Tim Anderson? The guy who commits about 25 errors per season and only plays half the games? LOL on that crap.
So that CBS Sports #86 then is crap is Anderson is 74 at CBS and 61 at ESPN. Rosario wasn't listed at ESPN Again, you can cherry pick stats to prove any point and it may have some validity. But, not Bimbo's standards for stats -- they can be misleading and he warned us for a year on Rosario's numbers improving due to how he was told to shift (I was going to ask him if the better alignment was due to pitch-com due to analytic department not just telling 2b/SS how to align with hitters but telling them how to align based on the pitch type/location that they could now hear) - maybe before others adopted it. But, per BR, 18.2 WAR in 3,100 ABs and has 2 AS and MVP-7 finish while Rosario has 9.7 WAR in 2,660 ABs and no hardware. I guess your analytics must be so much better than everyone else's .... hope you get a job with NYYs, maybe we get a shot then. (and note, I already typed that I could see some argument in Rosario vs Anderson before you posted this). I just prefer Anderson, IMO.
I am out ... but if you want that $100 bet ... I would honor it and come back by December to check-in... But, one last thing to leave you with to Bimbo's point, Amed has had 63 errors in 2271 chances while Anderson in just one extra season (20% more ABs in comp) has had 116 errors in 3,046 chances. That is 34% more chances for Anderson (compared to 18% more games and 16% more ABs) -- who gets to more balls? Errors/Chances is 3.8% for Anderson and 2.8% for Rosario. So, you point seems legit because Anderson may be ranging to more balls and thus making more errors as he is near more stuff (unless you think he has a magnet due to getting more chances in games than Rosario). Thus, as Bimbo just said a week or so ago, is OAA is the only real metric to see true ability in fielding as others are misleading...

If you sort on OAA (outs above average) and SS only... Anderson had -2 last year (but +10 per FG for career) - maybe because he was injured last year but Amed ... poor dude was -10 last year (almost last just ahead of Crawford and Garcia - 35 out of 37 listed). And per FG, he is -42 for his career.
Maybe we can up that $100 to $1,000 .... going on vacation with kids and need some spending money. And, this is why people tried to take me to the cleaners yesterday????? Not worth it ... Even our ex-insder said in Nov that he doesn't want to see Rosario in the #2 hole for another season (maybe he has some pull now).
