2023 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

could be the greatest tanking race in the nba
First time seeing Scoot and yes it's Highlights not whole game, but giving me young D Rose/Kyrie vibes. Should be really good in the NBA when he gets there

In any other year, probably top or equal candidate for #1...

But, Wembanyama, bruh, nothing to say but get that kid to the Western Conference and keep him there lol.

This new class of super skilled super tall, supers skinny guys, some of them I'm going to need to see thrive and last before I truly believe it, but with VW, its not hard to see. Barring injury, he is going to be a dominant force in the NBA from day one and for 15+ years. One of the safer bets in a long time.

Imagine being a top tanking team this year, knowing not matter how bad you are, there is this generational talent who will go number one and the very best odds you can get are 75% that you DON'T get him.

Scoot is actually such an insane prospect and it’s a shame he’ll get overshadowed by Wembayama. But not surprising because Victor is the freakiest prospect I’ve ever seen. At the same time, the injury concerns for guys that tall are real.

Wembanyama is a 7'-4" cheat code. Knocking down 3's on one end and blocking shots on the other. It's like he's Durant offensively and Gobert on D. Crazy stuff. Haven't been so impressed with a prospect since seeing Lebron at SVSM.

Why do I get the feeling the Spurs are in for another 2 decades of WC dominance if they land Wemby in the draft..assuming he stays healthy of course.

Should be interesting to see how many teams are tanking by the trade deadline.

That is insane. 2023 draft is a sick ass draft at the top. Like wow.

Imagine teams feeling disappointed with Scoot as the 2nd overall pick after missing on Wembanyama...and Scoot is a much better than your average 1st overall pick from what I have seen.

But....I don't trust Wembanyama's knees.

Jesus christ. I almost want to tank.

Would you trade mobley and Mitchell for Victor? If you're guaranteed Victor stays healthy. No team would take that trade though. Would probably take them two, plus first round picks.

Watched the game last night thinking I was prepared for Victor; I wasn't. No amount of highlights could've prepared me for that.

He honestly should shut it down right now.

And it might be malpractice for any NBA team that's not one of the top two or so legitimate title favorites to not actively tank this season in an effort to at least retain a lottery ticket in the Wembanyana sweepstakes. He's the single best prospect of all time. That's not just a knee jerk reaction after watching one game; it already wasn't an outrageous claim before then. But I'm just extra fully convinced now.

Shit, it's really depressing to think about all our positioning and team building and our fun young talent and have to consider the possibility that after Victor's first couple of seasons, the league may just belong to him for the next decade and that's that.

In our position you don’t make that trade. We don’t need to take such a huge risk when we have established talent on the roster and just need more years of development and playing together. But at the same I also think if you’re the Spurs, Jazz, etc, you’d rather have Wemby than both Mobley and Mitchell. I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say Victor is a top 5 prospect of all time, and you’d be getting him on a cheap rookie contract.

I'm as protank as anyone on the board but this is too much. We have a good young core that will remain competitive for years. There is no player in nba history would I say you got a potential contender with 4 young stars for just to get. Even LeBron or MJ.

Wemby looks amazing and will be a great player if he can stay healthy but let's not go overboard. We have an awesome thing going here. Enjoy it

Yeah I was just speaking hypothetically. If I was asked to trade mobley, Mitchell and two first for Victor I would.

I saw Mobley and his brother live in high school. Evan was obviously a stud with his athleticism, playmaking, shooting, and perimeter defense. Cavs are obviously playoff bound this season.

However was not prepared to see what I saw last night with Wemby. In the same way you knew Lebron was a game changer during his SVSM days you just get the exact same feeling about VW. He was just doing things out there on the floor that have never been done before. If I'm some borderline team like Charlotte, even with Lamelo on the roster, I *might* considering abandoning ship fairly early in the season and going all tank.

Also Scoot might be the best PG prospect since Magic. It’s unreal how good he is at his age already and we’re talking about a kid who has great physical tools as well. You’re not supposed to be able to do what he did against grown men in the G-League last year at 17 years old. I mean who was a better prospect pre-draft in the last 40 years? I wouldn’t say Rose, Morant, or Kyrie were. Maybe you could argue Kidd or Isiah Thomas?

Hornets should definitely abandon ship asap. They have no future otherwise.

Reminds me when we used to do create a player in video games with 7’6” 99 speed, 99 shooting, 99 dribbling, 99 everything. Seriously a cheat code. This guy is phenomenal.

The only thing about him though, his shoulders seem way too narrow for his height. And he moves weirdly like he is an injury waiting to happen.

I can't wait to see him go against NBA players though. He looks like his base is higher than Mobley's. His shot though is money and his length is remarkable.
