2023 Offseason Potential Targets (FA and Trades)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cleveland receives: Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, Chuma Okeke, Wendell Carter Jr., 6th & 11th picks
Orlando receives: Donovan Mitchell & Ricky Rubio

Why?
Cleveland retools their roster & get some valuable picks in a strong draft.
Orlando pairs Banchero & Franz with a star.

Honestly, a big man rotation of Mobley, Allen & Carter Jr. sounds nasty. I'd make this trade without hesitation.
This feels like more than we gave up for Mitch at the time of the trade. Suggs or Cole are worth more than Lauri was at the time. Okeke is a first on his own. WCJ is 1.5 firsts. Add two lottery picks? Yeah thats a ton.

Id almost look to replace one of cole/Suggs with harris and call it there

Thinking on it more, no way Orlando does this as constructed. They need WCJ and probably only give up one of cole or Suggs.

I think a more realistic deal is one of Cole/Suggs + Okeke + Harris + 6 (Hendricks) for Mitchell. Maybe a few additional picks from Orlando.

I would only think about this next offseason though

Wojo was on SIRUS Sports Radio earlier today and said the Cavs were kicking the tires on what it would cost to trade for Miles Bridges. He said the Hornets want Bridges back but is also weighing the possibility of public outcry. He said the Hornets could look at executing a S&T with the Cavs sending Okoro, Cedi, and possibly Stevens along with 2-3 second rounders back in the trade.

Pass. I'm not even sure what Bridges would solve.

He doesn't have true SF size, isn't a three point shooter [shot 32%, 33%, and 33% from 3 in three of his four seasons], and isn't a play-maker [averaging a career 2.3 assists per game being a guard is awful].

I would assume bench 4 to bring in when playing a single center. I don’t really want to mess with the guy though. He’s a decent rebounder.

Thats a lot of money to put into a backup. He wanted 25m a year iirc. Still want nothing to do with this dude either

He can want 25m, but I have no idea who’s going to pay him that. The domestic abuse stuff wasn’t the only problem he had.

Thoughts? Dalen Terry has potential.

Cleveland receives: Alex Caruso, Patrick Williams & Dalen Terry
Chicago receives: Jarrett Allen

Why?
Cleveland adds much needed wing depth & a hard nosed player in Caruso.
Chicago risks losing Vucevic so they get a replacement.
Dalen Terry was on my draft list for the 2nd round (if Cavs could trade up) last season. I would see what it takes just to get him (and maybe Pat Williams) over

He doesn't play guard. He's a small ball 4 and SF.

I don't want anything to do with Bridges but complaining about his assists as a guard when he isn't one is weird.

He wanted 25 mil before the DV but he knows he’s not getting anything near that now. And other than the DV what other issues did he have. He’s 6’6 and averaged 21 points a game. He has career averages of 47% from the field, 34% from three, 5.6 rebs, and 2.3 assists. Still way better than any wing player we’ve had since a guy named LBJ.

Well that one issue is enough to disqualify him. Hes not a good enough shooter, defender and needs ball too much for what we need

Another thing to consider with Bridges is that he's been off the basketball court for more than a year. He's going to be very rusty, the team that takes a risk on him will have to be very patient & temper expectations.
