2024 Cleveland Browns Off-Season Thread

I know the forum I’m on and I don’t want tomatoes thrown at me, but it’s worth acknowledging that Chubb’s situation could be similar to Charles when it’s all said and done. Jamaal was two years older but only had about 100 more career carries than Chubb has now. Both suffered multiple knee injuries and what happened to Chubb makes it very difficult to predict the rest of his career path.

With that being said, I hope Chubb comes back strong and leaves no doubt that he can still be one of the top backs in the league. The Browns do too. But if we think they’re not studying the parallels of other RB’s with similar injuries in their late 20’s and factored that into whether or not they’d cut him, then we’re ignoring the business side of the sport.

I have said it before, 2nd injury to Chubbs knee and I dont think he will ever be the same. If anyone can do it at 30 its Chubb, but I think with the offseason additions at RB,, they arent bringing back Hunt and they dont expect Chubb to be the same.

I think Chubb's strength fending off blocks and dragging guys with him will be there with his history of working out and training regimen. The cutbacks and general speed I hope will return but can't be guaranteed.

The last Miss St Bulldog corner we drafted worked out well. Wouldn't mind going back to that well. Limited production but athletic af. Believe he ranked 1st in CB at the combine in athleticism testing.

Great point! Browns flipped their 7th into a 6th this year from the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. Apparently they were targeting S Ronnie Hickman in the 7th but they probably knew they could get him as a UDFA.

I could see them trading down early, trading up later. They typically love the value in the second day. I do also see the Browns turning over some spots at offensive line, feels like they will invest in one or two new O-line projects for Dickerson.
